I thought it was quite promising..

Commenting on the results, Phil Gripton, Chief Executive of Cupid plc, said:

"After a year in which the business reached an inflection point, I have personally been able to review the business at every level. After completing this assessment of the Group, I have tremendous faith in the long-term future of Cupid plc. We are turning around and implanting solid foundations to our core dating division, transforming it into a sustainable, high quality, customer centric business. This solid foundation will in turn underpin an exciting high-growth data-driven future.

Oh right I see, if Tosca are buying into it then it must be an investable opportunity and as such I must follow? lol The results are disappointing and outlook statement doesn't promise much.

Well, I have to add some comments here.... the business was forced to change its business model. So, they sold the seedy part of the business. This was actually the cash generative part of it. Now, from the final accounts it can be seen that they disposed of the business at a loss. In addition, where is the monthly cash... Somebody has been royally screwed over... glad it wasn't me...

The digital age moves fast, their turnaround plan is over many years. Still Cupid have the overhang of their dodgey operating practices, who'd want to use them?

No friends today then.I could have sworn the same magazine was once heavily tipping.Anyway never mind,I guess that is why the underlying business is only being values at £5 million once you strip out the cash and cash due.

Receivables aren't that much of an issue when you take into account

Deferred consideration on disposal
of discontinued operations 15,564,000

2015 is only 9 months away.

Furthermore

"Expect to be cash generative in the second half of the year."

That is only 3 months away.

CEOs always say they think they can bring the company back to profitability.

Fact is, CUP is burning cash. This is what I have said all along.

Cash burning, this has further to fall.

No profit until 2015, then why would anybody hold this share.

Ex cash and cash due the underlying business is being valued at just £7 million.

New Ceo seems to think he can bring it back to profitability within the next 12 months.

New blood, new ideas we will just have to wait and see.

"Expect to be cash generative in the second half of the year "

" Profitability to be at a positive run rate as Cupid enters 2015 "

This solid foundation will in turn underpin an exciting high-growth data-driven future.

"We have a three-year strategic plan - to deliver significant growth and shareholder value by becoming a robust, scalable digital technology business. The business has a unique opportunity in this attractive space: there is a growing and fragmented market for Data AdTech and Digital Services propositions. Cupid will be successful in these dynamic fields because it owns an ever-growing pool of unique first party data produced by our core dating service, which we can monetise by using our efficient and cost effective digital operation, as well as my own background in the space.

"We have a big year ahead of us, and there are on-going challenges that we are addressing, but the early positive signs are that we are on track."

Results confirm what I have been saying all along. CUP has no viable business. The cash is getting burnt up in marketing/advertising but it's not producing growth.

Results out. Dividend to be paid but loss making and cash burning. Not clear (imo) if restructuring is going to me more than a sticking plaster on a walking wounded or if they are on the way to a healty recovery.

Goldie, you do realise that insider trading is illegal? Some ppl might do some research and digging around and decide it might be worth the risk in advance if the results...or if you are uncertain, you may wait for the results. Still, you would have to decide if it was a bet or not.

The naivity and cluelesness of amateur punters like goldie40 never ceases to amaze me. Goldie, why don't you google "Close Period", that will answer your question as to lack of insider dealings.
