16/2/2005 08:44 | Chip Leeder - Do enjoy your holiday. The serious point here isn't Cubux but CCS & their selling methods, & just what the FSA is prepared to license. If you feel that you can substantiate your allegation of their being a boiler room you should go to the FSA with it, | vulgaris
08/2/2005 06:55 | he hehe chip leeder here - (in thailand no password to other account.) Vulgaris - was i right or WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! | benw99
12/1/2005 22:14 | Well, events since flotation are somewhat reminiscent of a boiler room share... | wiganer
18/11/2004 08:55 | vulgaris, not sure where you are coming from - but yes i would definately class them as a boiler room - cold calling with a very hard sell. i just humour them. | chip leeder
17/11/2004 21:13 | Dearie me, chip leader, you're surely not suggesting that FSA-regulated firms (Charles Street Securities) are boiler rooms, are you, however hard their sell? In any event (i) the Investors Chronicle was mildly positive & (ii)the past couple of days has seen 3 buys of 10000 shares apiece, presumably by people who can see that they'd only get half their money back, allowing for the spread, if they sold immediately.... Someone here has got some faith. | vulgaris
15/11/2004 18:23 | oh dear.... how can a company with revenues in the hundreds of thousands be cadpitalised at £6m... All growth in the price... and none of the risk... when I got hte prospectus I couldn't believe these guys were serious... one poxy casino listing on the london exchange has a cap of £6m... oh but we will expand and have six soon.... not good enough I'm afraid.... without a track record and with expansion built in this is best avoided... I think investors have just read 'company in croatia'... then new EC entrant with high economic growht and growing tourism... then LETS INVEST... without realising that they are only getting a rouletter wheel in some poxy hotel... 03/9/2004 12:00 | The wheel spins for Cubus Lux The roulette wheel otherwise known as the stock market started spinning today for Cubus Lux, a gaming group which runs a casino in Croatia. Offered at 22.5p valuing it at £5 million, the shares made a quiet debut on AIM. Former Crockfords director David Gray heads a management team aiming to develop a chain of casinos in the region over the next two years. About £1.3million was raised in the float and will be used to finance future growth and repay existing debt. Broker Equity Growth Research believes the company has the potential to become the market leader in Croatia within 5-7 years. The companys existing operation, the Las Vegas Casino, is a year round operation in the four star Histria Hotel in the tourist town of Pula. It was bought by the present management team in 2003 and, following a re-fit, now offers black jack, roulette, stud poker and slot machines. Equity Growth forecasts a net profit of £260,000 for 2005 rising to £350,000 in 2006 where it would be selling on 14 times earnings. The Croatian market is growing rapidly boosted by day trippers from countries such as Italy and Slovenia. | stingray1690

The company recently raised #1.38m through an Offer for Subscription of 6,152,000 ordinary 1p shares. * SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS: Subscription price 22.5p Number of ordinary shares in issue following subscription 22,102,001 Gross proceeds of the subscription #1,384,200 Net proceeds available to the Company #1,003,236 * The company, which runs the Las Vegas Casino in the Histria Hotel in the Croatian tourist resort of Pula, will use the money to open new seasonal casinos and to repay a bridge loan. It is already in negotiation to open casinos in three hotels in the Istrian Peninsula by 2005. Two more are planned by 2006, and the company is actively seeking acquisition opportunities. * Cubus Lux has a strong management team headed-up by Chief Executive Yaron Yenni, a former Price Waterhouse auditor, with fifteen years experience in the tourist and leisure related industries. The non-executive Chairman David Gray is an ex-director of Crockfords with forty years gaming experience in London, and the principal shareholder, Moshe Har Adir, has spent 25 years running a series of gaming operations. * The company's first operation, the Las Vegas Casino, is a year round operation in the four-star Histria Hotel, sited in the Istrian Peninsula - known as the Croatian Tuscany and benefits from its close proximity to Italy. It was acquired by the present management team in 2003, since then it has been completely refurbished, and now offers a range of gambling games including Black Jack, Roulette, Stud poker and slot machines. * Numerica is the nominated adviser to the company and Rowan Dartington is acting as broker.
