03/11/2014 09:12 | I'm guessing any potential bidders will wait for the results to be announced on the 12th before any bid is made. | jmf69
03/11/2014 04:25 | Thx JMF69 i have been following the daily buying and noticed large buys, and despite that the share price remained static. In fact share price going south. Accumulation comes to mind. Now as a large hedge funds you can buy millions of shares for 8.40 and that gives immediate 7% profit till official take over of 9.00, which is easy money but i expect them to aim for higher. So a new excitement gathering, fingers xxx'd | tolga1
03/11/2014 00:32 | Shame CSR won;t pay much of dividend company while we wait... The article names Broadcom has a potential rival bidder. | alphahunter
02/11/2014 22:19 | Can't read the article. ....not free. ....any copy and paste ? Thanks | ken_uk
02/11/2014 21:51 | The hedge fund buyers are all arb specialists, I know tham all, they are playing a rate of return game. I am long and playing the same game, I hope! | exbroker
02/11/2014 20:01 | I'm still holding... interesting article re speculation there could be another bidder...http://www. | jmf69
29/10/2014 18:50 | Hello anyone left over there? Still here waiting for the £9. Large buys going through at £8.40, but price remains static, don't get it. Any possibilities for a counter offer? Why would the big boys bother to buy if not expecting a large rise? Why does the price not go up despite the large buys? Confused as ever and would be grateful, if any one could enlighten. Cheers | tolga1
17/10/2014 11:59 | Hi Alphahunter Yes it could but the cost of money is low for the arb guys at the moment, given the number of countries that they need to get clearance in a scheme is the best way to do this. The reason that the price went as low as 840 was that some arbs cut back there positions across the board yesterday, there where a few cheap shares to be had then. | exbroker
17/10/2014 03:26 | Exbroker, Could a scheme of arrangement take more time to complete than a take-over, hence the higher discount? | alphahunter
16/10/2014 16:24 | Its a hack together of various other interviews that are around. It is true that the offer is not final in city terms but if another party comes in then they have the option to respond. Given that the other potential suitor has a cap of about 7.5 billion USD and Qualcomm about 120 billion USD I dont see this as a fair fight. | exbroker
16/10/2014 13:06 | does sound a little prolonged I agree, hope you're right | tonysss13
16/10/2014 13:00 | I think that Summer 15 is wrong, it should take less time than that, they have done enough deals and have enough resources to get it done quicker. The arbs all had a position ahead of the deal so sold out to balance the loss from the SHP where they got hosed big time. Look at another deal NBPO it is on a big discount as well, it is a no panel deal but is subject to the rules of the Port Moresby stock exchange, I am very long the stock, I also hold and have done for some time other stocks in the palm oil sector. | exbroker
16/10/2014 12:55 | I'm also surprised at where it's trading, considering the slim possibility of a counter bid. Am long & wrong currently I think the ARBS have enough headaches with SHP so are licking their wounds, maybe a bit of fear that if that can break down, and given the current market turbulance, could Qualcomm execute a break clause and pay a penalty. I read the deal won't be completed until summer 2015 so a fair wait for a 6% ish move | tonysss13
16/10/2014 12:13 | We wont know the exact time table until the document is published but they counter bid if any could come in at any time before the court meeting and shareholders vote. I am nor sure that there is now a deadline imposed by the Panel on the other bidder, I am long on the arb and wondering what I have missed as my model reckons the price should be slightly above 883 and that's with a March completion! | exbroker
15/10/2014 17:06 | Wasn't aware of the reset but it is good to know | jmf69
15/10/2014 16:52 | Thanks Exbroker How long have they got? | alphahunter
15/10/2014 15:37 | Nick "The Moose" Batsford and Zak Mir - Editor of Spreadbet Magazine: CSR (CSR) Bid news after TipTV coverage earlier this week. See more at: | tiptv1
15/10/2014 15:36 | JMF69 That article is Bolloc*s as the timetable resets on a firm bid. | exbroker
15/10/2014 13:36 | Winsome, Has the prospectus been already distributed? Thanks, | alphahunter
15/10/2014 12:09 | The Arbs have take a proper kicking today on the Shire deal so are not rushing to get into CSR. I have bought some at higher levels earlier on and am buying a few more here. This is a tiny deal for a company the size of Qualcomm, I see no implications for them, it is going to be done by there main holding subsidiary based in Singapore. | exbroker |
