03/3/2005 14:35 | CRP moving ahead towards new highs as Canada opens up | cat
01/3/2005 00:14 | Very little further difference when Toronto and NY closed tonight PS: Aleman - any chance you could get the company's Toronto and NY intraday charts into the header (yahoo ones might be less cumbersome than the ones I linked to) as this is a stock that is going to continue being driven from over there mostly. | m.t.glass
28/2/2005 22:01 | Ah ha! not been on this thread for a while. Seems that CRP is starting to get some interese. I bought some to spread the risk because CRP runs the casinos and poker for lots of sites. I guess people are starting to notice the potential | 350gtr
28/2/2005 16:43 | nice little pullback keeping things healthy. One to salt away as existing comapnies in the gaming / gambling sector seek a fast route to create an on-line aspect to their business. | cat
28/2/2005 15:00 | Until more stock is released into the London market, and trades here begin to have some influence, I guess the London price will be shifted at 8am each morning by MMs (to wherever Toronto/NY closed) and then flatline till 2:30pm-ish. Anyone care to calculate the immediate prospects from what's showing on the Canada/USA charts so far this afternoon? Edit: Ah. I see it moved as I typed. MMs are awake after all ;o) | m.t.glass
27/2/2005 10:22 | rise on friday came from nasdaq listing closing @ c. $31.5 | sthomson2

26/2/2005 21:06 | MT - can you advise where you obtained charts pls. Any on eunderstand the reason for the 10% rise on Friday (not that I'm complaining!) | melody9999
26/2/2005 12:47 | Toronto intraday Toronto 3 month Nasdaq intraday Cryptologic Nasdaq 3 month Cryptologic Interestingly the Toronto and the Nasdaq charts do drift apart a little at times (eg that two-dollar dip in Feb on Toronto chart but not on Nasdaq - or was that just some official holiday?). Maybe the London one does too? (apologies for mixing semilog and linear charts) | m.t.glass
26/2/2005 12:07 | I too noticed the volume was low. Too much opportunity for arbitrage if price not tied into Toronto presumably. But in that case presumably also possible to exploit the fact that it will mimic Canada? UK intraday shows it marked up yesterday morning (per previous night in Toronto?) and again at 2:30pm. It might be handy to have a live Canadian chart in the header. | m.t.glass
26/2/2005 11:57 | Friday saw the company rise 10% on the UK market. Does this move in Tandem with its North American listings? Only 1,500 traded here yesterday -unless certain trades are going through the Virt-x market? | williemanjaro
26/2/2005 11:48 | There is a promotional video for the product on the wagerlogic Web site- Should you need to contact Wagerlogic- WagerLogic Limited Nimeli Court 41 - 49 Agiou Nicolaou Street, Block A 3rd Floor Engomi, 2408 Nicosia, Cyprus A far strung out company! | williemanjaro
26/2/2005 11:43 | As this has a full market listing one would assume that this company could be included inside a PEP or ISA? Bound to be something which prohibits entry as the company is Canadian....? Dont know if you highlighted this-the wholly owned WagerLogic... Casino Software (WagerLogic) CryptoLogic develops online-casino software, which is licensed through our wholly owned subsidiary, WagerLogic. In 1996, the software was licensed to the first Internet casino and now WagerLogic's licensees represent the largest portion of the online-gaming industry. Subsequent versions of the software have redefined the online-gaming experience, with the introduction of features such as multi-player games, live chat, custom browser windows (to control the main application and launch additional applications) and 3D casino environments where users virtually "walk" around the casino and join games in play. For more information on the casino software developed by CryptoLogic, or for information on becoming a software licensee, please visit the WagerLogic website. | williemanjaro
26/2/2005 11:31 | I haven't. But Cat kept harping on about them so I came and had a little look. (incidentally, I just added a couple more quotes above) (oops - also lost a couple that were there - will go find again) | m.t.glass
26/2/2005 07:11 | How long have you been into these MTG ? | chester
26/2/2005 01:14 | The share price has doubled in the last 4 months.. "..Cryptologic shares were very much in demand, up 155p at £16.25 following a positive note on the gambling software firm by house broker Bridgewell earlier in the week..." (The Guardian, Sat 26 Feb) and some other recent coverage: Analyst Julian Toley argued NETeller's market rating (16 times forward earnings) was too low for a business that is in effect a geared play on the booming online gaming market. Investors looking for another way to play the online gaming market could do worse than look at Cryptologic, a Canadian company that designs software to power online gambling sites. Until yesterday it had been difficult, if not impossible, to trade its shares in London. However, Bridgewell Securities has placed 1m shares - 7.6% of the company - with UK institutions on behalf of two pre-flotation backers. The shares rose 50p to £12.80 and should now be rather more liquid in London. (The Guardian 29 Jan 2005) 18/02/05 - CryptoLogic Inc. Placing of Shares Bridgewell is pleased to announce it has placed approximately £16m of CryptoLogic Inc. shares on behalf of founder shareholders with UK institutional investors representing approximately 9% of the issued share capital. CryptoLogic Inc., listed in Toronto, New York and London, and capitalised at approximately £180m is one of the leading global providers of software for the online casino gaming industry. This placing represented the first significant placing of stock with UK-based investors by Cryptologic and follows Bridgewell's appointment as CryptoLogic's retained broker and financial adviser in December 2004 and... Cryptologic, the online gaming software group, advanced 105p to £14.50 after full-year results smashed expectations and analysts increased their earnings forecasts. (The Guardian, Sat 19 Feb) and... CryptoLogic's revenues up 33% in fourth-quarter OnlineCasino.org | 21.02.2005 | 10:59:04 | Views: | Casino News The online gambling company CryptoLogic's revenues are up 33% in fourth-quarter. According to the National Post Cryptologic's revenues are up 33% and profit up 25%. "Cryptologic saw the large, untapped market opportunity of online poker and we leveraged our reputation for innovation and strong brand-name licensees to establish a very significant position in online poker, Lewis Rose, CryptoLogic's president and CEO, told a conference call." "The Toronto-based online gambling company, which reports its results in U.S. dollars, said it made $3.8 million, or 27 cents per share, in the three-month period ended Dec. 31. CryptoLogic (TSX:CRY) made $3 million, or 23 cents per share, in the same 2003 period." 22/2/2005 21:02 | 350gtr have you looked at GamingVC GVC, they are completely overlooked on a pe of 7x and yield 6.2%, can't stay at that level for long. Also SBT are looking for acquisitions in Euopean online casino area:- Payne also said he would be on the look-out for more acquisitions, particularly in the European casino and sports betting sectors. 'What we've said is that this industry will continue to consolidate very quickly and once we've digested Paradise Poker then for the right deal at the right price we would be back in the market,' he said. | czar
19/2/2005 17:08 | czar, had a look at this months ago. Low PE, cash in the bank, big growth potential, paying a dividend. bought in. The negatives are. They had a few problems when credit cards started blocking transactions etc and the growth stalled. This seems to be over now. They are mainly traded in Toronto, also available in US and UK but the markets are very thin. Still have a long way to go in y opinion | 350gtr
18/2/2005 14:14 | This company looks undervalued to me. If analysts are going for around $1.30 earnings for this year and taking out the net cash $4.62 per share, they trade on less than 7x pe, that must be too cheap. Have I missed something here, I'm not at all familiar with this share I just like the online gaming sector. My bigger holdings are in SBT, NLR and GVC. | czar
18/2/2005 11:16 | Numbers just out, look good. Stock not yet moved..... most likely waiting for the US to open where most of the trade takes place. Looks good for a 10% rise to me. Beaten even the top end of broker forecasts on both revs and eps and have upgraded guidance for next quarter...... a sure fire no brainer! | sthomson2
02/2/2005 16:41 | Picked up a bit of CRP for my online gaming portfolio, SBT NLR BSS GVC, this should be the best performing sector this year as investors understand the business better. | czar
29/1/2005 12:51 | NETeller, which has developer an e-wallet to funnel cash from online gamblers to betting and casino sites, climbed 31p to 473.5p - a record high. The gain came after Durlacher, joint broker to the company, raised its near-term price target to 700p and its long-term target to £12. Analyst Julian Toley argued NETeller's market rating (16 times forward earnings) was too low for a business that is in effect a geared play on the booming online gaming market. Investors looking for another way to play the online gaming market could do worse than look at Cryptologic, a Canadian company that designs software to power online gambling sites | aleman
06/12/2004 11:52 | There were 7144 players simulateously on Cryptologic's Poker community last night according to Poker Pulse. Incredible!! | brummy_git
01/12/2004 12:45 | Starting to take off. I understand there was a high profile tip for this in the US yesterday. certainly did the trick | 350gtr |
