10/6/2011 10:25 | Viridas (much like CSB) is morphing into a natural resource focused company, following effective reversal/acquisition by Rowan & Lee... Mr Lee, aged 48, is currently Head of Corporate at Novus Capital Markets Limited, an investment banking group with a particular focus on the renewable energy and natural resources sectors. He is also currently Chairman of AIM quoted Charles Street Capital plc and was previously a Non-Executive Director at Paragon Diamonds plc, also listed on AIM. Current Positions Charles Street Capital plc ACL Capital Limited Gardener Holdings (Kent) Limited ---------- Mr. Ronald Bruce Rowan, Executive Chairman Tiger Resource Finance Plc. This is an Investment Fund focused on the Resource Sector. The company is listed on AIM. Its mission is to invest in natural resource companies globally, capitalising on early entry level in mineral projects, and adding technical and management expertise where necessary. The company intends to be a unique player in the Mineral Resource Sector, offering investors the opportunity to invest in several well-managed and well-researched Mineral Resource projects. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Starvest plc (African Platinum (AP) has been Starvest's wonder investment) (Numerous investments in portfolio including 18 per cent stake in Aim-listed Bulgarian and Turkish gold explorer Kefi Minerals). Someone who really knows how to spot a bargain in the resources sector, Platinum, Oil, Gold, Coal, etc. | jojo_jo
10/6/2011 09:56 | little This looks very exciting for Viradas, something going on, perhaps a joint venture. Vir market cap £2.25m, could be a quick 10 bagger if a deal done. | montyhedge
10/6/2011 09:47 | I am mystified. CSB at the moment do not hold any resources. I thought their aim is to purchase a resource or company owning natural resources. VIR do not own any natural resources, so why buy into that company? Can someone please enlighten me as to where CSB & VIR are heading? | littlemadam
10/6/2011 09:36 | A recovery in VIR to its Autumn price (8p) would be worth over £3m to Crosby (ie us holders). They may even have increased their holding above 9.7% since. I don't know why this has been embargoed until now - it took place in mid-May! Detailed RNS called for. This can't be held back until AGM. | jojo_jo
10/6/2011 09:22 | I thought his son off to Uni for a year? so nothing will happen for 12 months. | montyhedge
10/6/2011 09:19 | Clearly above the radar today, and news of Crosby's stake purchase is doing wonders for VIR (and Crosby themselves). It should have been announced by Crosby yesterday. I'd have bought some VIR myself if I'd know about it! | jojo_jo
10/6/2011 08:42 | vir movement today must worth something to crosbys top line. they hold 10% of vir | patboy
10/6/2011 08:38 | I see that CSB's investment is up 60% already ! ;-) | 2magpies
09/6/2011 23:22 | Thanks richy. That ditty seems to have crept under everyone's radar. | jojo_jo
09/6/2011 20:34 | I hope the person is still in. The market is currently cold for short-sellers. Avoid any short sales and cover the short positions immediately if there are any. | patboy
09/6/2011 20:03 | I guess there may be a RNS here too. Very intriguing | 2magpies
09/6/2011 19:15 | the next week could be very interesting | theshareguru

09/6/2011 17:37 | from my post on VIR where CSB has just bought a 9.72% stake and now has interest in a company where Bruce Rowan has a large stake and presumably big plans to transform VIR Crosby Asset Management Inc is a AIM listed company (CSB), basically a shell company where John Mckeon (Niche Group, ex Circle Oil)holds a major stake and where Roman Abramovich's son has just bought a 28% stake from John Mckeon. Intriguing that CSB has bought this stake in VIR Now we have a triumvirate of well known names interested in VIR (Bruce Rowan, John Mckeon, R Abramovich's son) Wonder what plans they have here.............. | 21richyrich
09/6/2011 15:56 | is this the start of the rise | theshareguru
09/6/2011 11:06 | Yes, switching short to long (and vice versa) is common with some stocks, but usually done in more liquid stocks in a single transaction via CFDs or similar. You would probably have to actually buy to close, then buy again to switch to long (unless of course you can find a broker which has a CFD or spreadbet for Crosby). There may be a couple - haven't seen one yet! It would explain some of the larger transactions. | jojo_jo
09/6/2011 10:47 | at times the odd person often goes short to long in the same share | patboy
09/6/2011 10:43 | I think the shorter was EK. | littlemadam
09/6/2011 10:15 | Possibly the odd (literally) person who was brave enough to short this at around 5p sensibly decided to get out at a profit, rather than risk losing heavily in the next spike. I understand from earlier posts that someone went short at 5p, so perhaps it was him/her closing out yesterday. | jojo_jo
08/6/2011 17:48 | very strange sell at 4.57 350k, makes me wonder if someone is after quite a few shares, especially the way shares movement today. | theshareguru
07/6/2011 19:47 | it's me again. someone has posted few days ago that by the AIM rules csb has to clinch a deal by October?? is that right? | t 34
07/6/2011 18:12 | what happened to 10p? | bingowing
07/6/2011 17:58 | Well, we haven't got that long to go at all. Shall find out soon enough. If it does go whoosh, sg, we can be sure that T34 won't post again [unless he/she has other alias(es)] !! But he's very clever, and wouldn't care either way. ;-) | 2magpies
07/6/2011 16:05 | we have been here before it dropped by my memory to 3.3p, them woosh | theshareguru
07/6/2011 15:21 | who told you that agm means news;just change the name and off we go to uni. | t 34 |
