05/9/2013 10:58 | They do it to fool naifs, who see the order board biased to one side or t`other and act on the spurious future trades offered. On a bigger scale it confuses auto trading where billions of prices are scanned in seconds and the info. acted upon. In the case of penny shares on AIM its low key, but it still fools some. | miss ann thrope
05/9/2013 10:55 | for those not au fait with this: "Layering concerns the use of non-bona fide orders, or orders that the trader does not intend to have executed, to induce others to buy or sell the security at a price not representative of actual supply and demand." | ajmace
05/9/2013 10:53 | Yes I see it but why are they doing it? | ajmace

05/9/2013 10:13 | That's a buy at 14.09 I'd have thought! Very low volume - nothing really going on | ajmace
05/9/2013 10:09 | Not sure what you mean about the 350k , MAT. | ajmace
05/9/2013 08:37 | There is still that 350k of layering at the bottom of the buy board, it ` aint as rosy as it looks at first glance, still holding though, ready for a spike. | miss ann thrope

03/9/2013 12:02 | I think MAT was predicting, in his post, "followed by a sell off down 15/20% then another spike up.".......so I assume he was expecting about a 2/2.5p fall before another rise. | mclellan
03/9/2013 11:07 | MAT do you mean a double-bottom, at 10p?. not sure how you could possibly predict this. Any upward turn from 15p would be good. | ajmace
03/9/2013 09:56 | I await your largesse dear. | miss ann thrope |
