01/10/2007 11:01 | They are now back to where they were a year ago, despite the fact that they have grown EPS by over 80% in the intervening period. I can't help thinking that the market is wrong on this one. | fr4dge
01/10/2007 10:23 | keeps going down. Looks like Irish crash fears are being more than discounted now. Closing short and going long. | boxie2
19/9/2007 13:47 | Ah. Gotcha. It used to purely focus on the technology sector & dealt with the bust in that industry brilliantly. It's already begun to deversify by territory as well as business area & I expect them to do just as well as that. Still think they are cheap. | fr4dge
19/9/2007 11:30 | That is, concerns that Irish economy is lsowing down dramatically because of the potential for a housing market correction in that country. Guess that CPL, being the biggest recruitment company (with recruitment being economically sensitive) suffers if fears of a slowdown increase. Logical? | boxie2
18/9/2007 16:54 | Boxie2, Can you elaborate please? | fr4dge
18/9/2007 16:37 | Think it is Ireland and Irish economy | boxie2
13/9/2007 17:15 | CPL Resources is a recruitment company predominantly based in Ireland. For the last 5 years, it has achieved revenue growth of 50% & profit growth of 75% - BOTH FIGURES ARE COMPOUND AND PER YEAR. I.e. it has grown revenue by 50% & profits by 75% every year for the last 5 years. Yet the company trades on a PER of around 12 (if you extrapolate the last 6 months). This seems absurdly low to me. Anybody any reason why this might be? | fr4dge
13/9/2007 11:32 | EPS in the latest 6 months were over 26 cents (39% greater than previous 6 months)! Extrapolating over the year implies a PER of under 12 (assuming no growth in earnings) If we also extrapolate across the year for the growth rate, we get a growth rate of 93%. This implies an icredibly generous PEG ratio. If I wasn't already hugely overweight in these I'd have to buy some more. | fr4dge
13/9/2007 10:50 | Apologies PE is actually under 15. Ridiculous for a company growing its revenues & earnings so quickly. I can't understand why this stock has such a lowly rating. | fr4dge
12/9/2007 09:02 | EPS is just over 30p - leaving these on a PE of around 16. Using the growth in EPS of 75% (which they have done for 5 straight years), their PEG is around 0.2. This is way too cheap isn't it? | fr4dge
11/9/2007 11:58 | Anybody able to name 1 othe company that has grown revenues by a compound 50% per year over 5 years & EPS by a compound 75%? This is pretty amazing performance. Worthy of a much higher rating than CPS is currently enjoying IMHO. | fr4dge
11/9/2007 09:28 | CPL have only gone & done it again. Financial Highlights are as follows - awesome again: * Sales Euro195.5 m up 32% (2006: Euro148 m) * Net Fee Income Euro43 m up 53% (2006: Euro28.2 m) * Profit before tax Euro19.3m up 82 % (2006: Euro10.6 m) * Earning per share 45.1 cent up 80% (2006: 25.1 cent) * Conversion ratio 44.7% (2006: 37.5%) * Cash Euro29.7m (2006: Euro21.3 million) * Dividend 4.0 cent per share (2006: 2.9 cent) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Just five years ago, the Cpl group operated principally in one business sector - the IT industry - and exclusively in the Irish market. Our turnover in the year to 30 June 2002 was less than Euro23 million and our earnings per share amounted to 2.7 cent. The corresponding figures for 2007 represent compound growth over 5years of more than 50% per annum in turnover and more than 75% per annum in earnings per share. The sustained strength of the Irish economy has undoubtedly contributed significantly to this outstanding performance. However, the quality and commitment of our people, the loyalty of our customers and a successful strategy for organic growth, business development, diversification and acquisition have been the principal drivers of Cpl's success." What a great business. Share price should leap again from here. | fr4dge
14/6/2007 20:49 | Looks like results are going to be ahead of forecasts again. | fradge
12/6/2007 20:56 | Great statement again today. | l3gend
04/6/2007 09:22 | Danny, It's not. I don't know why. The company has been a stellar performer forever - with turnover & profits rising enormously & organically every year. Sooner or later people have got to start taking more interest in this thing. | fradge
31/5/2007 00:41 | hey guys, this has been on my radar for a while, seems like its worth a punt, esp with the results its produces and how it was mainly unaffected by the downturn in feburary, as i fancy another medium sized correction in the near term future. Think it is worth a go but ive been waiting on this to fall a little before i pick some up, yet it seems like it has been at this price for an eternity now lol. Worth a go i think. BTW this board isnt exactly a hotbed of activity is it lol. danny | dansjhall
18/5/2007 20:11 | Is it only me and Dusty that follows this thing!!! When will it get some commentary??? | l3gend

10/4/2007 11:38 | Well - long may it continue! | primrose 100
06/4/2007 13:24 | I think Dusty hit it on the head - good data from other players particularly those with exposure to Ireland. | l3gend
05/4/2007 12:22 | Up over 40p in the last 2 days. I wonder what's going on with CPL. Anybody got any ideas? | primrose 100
05/4/2007 10:22 | Good data fro other players recently. This is a good one. | dusty35
25/3/2007 14:44 | How long until this gets some attention. Nice acquisition recently. | l3gend
03/3/2007 16:43 | This is a well managed company Prmirose. Get on board | l3gend
21/2/2007 12:29 | I have to agree Dusty. The company has a brilliant track record in growing turnover & profits by large percentages every year & it looks like there are plenty of legs left in the story. | primrose 100 |
