29/6/2018 10:12 | This stock seems to be in free fall, having read numerous posts recently the consensus is that it will be going into administration as early as next week. How low do people think the share price will go and in what time frame? | ttlance
28/6/2018 18:18 | Tarrant June 30th is the date for stress testing this weekend Note the timing when market shut There are 6 banks and they might not all be singing from the same hymn sheet Break -up scenario . These brands can just peel away gratis and take the business with them | hillofwad
28/6/2018 17:45 | Nothing wrong with thee various brands under the CWD umbrella They can brush themselves down and business as usual without the burden of the debt or central head office expenses and a useless set of BODS making bad decisions | hillofwad
28/6/2018 17:44 | Although every one in the industry knows that none of the grossly overpaid "executive" chairman, the COO or the FD, who are collectively charged with the responsibility of "returning Cwd to basics" and (presumably) proper cash profits, have ANY experience in running a multi faceted property agency business, it does seem that shares at 40p, valuing the business at substantially under £100m, are oversold. My reasoning is that Cwd do still have probably the largest surveying practice in the country, a very substantial lettings business (which will of course be materially negatively affected by the Govn tenant fee ban in 2019) Lambert Smith Hampton, Hamptons, John D Wood and a whole range of regional agency businesses, many of which used to be market leading businesses. In a break up scenario, these businesses must surely be worth far more than the current market cap and debt, so liquidation doesn't look like any sort of threat and one imagines that Oaktree, which tends as a fund to predate on distressed assets will not allow someone else to take the corpse away and dismember same.one imaginest that news flow however will be accelerated in front of the end of July update recently proposed with the second profit warning. | tarrant777
28/6/2018 17:16 | Could be going down the toilet as early as this weekend The banking covenants are due for stress testing on on the 30th June Its been announced that EBITDA for H1 down from £28.1m to £8.1m so should be blowing the rivets. Just one more trading day Down another 15% today Ducks and drakes Oaktree can put it into admin and say goodbye to the £192m bank debt So banks will be aware of that and no doubt will be willing to cut a deal on the debt Fun and games ahead My bills are all due and the baby needs shoes and I'm busted Cotton is down to a quarter a pound, but I'm busted I got a cow that went dry and a hen that won't lay A big stack of bills that gets bigger each day The county's gonna haul my belongings away cause I'm busted. I went to my brother to ask for a loan cause I was busted I hate to beg like a dog without his bone, but I'm busted My brother said there ain't a thing I can do, My wife and my kids are all down with the flu, And I was just thinking about calling on you 'cause I'm busted. Well, I am no thief, but a man can go wrong when he's busted The food that we canned last summer is gone and I'm busted The fields are all bare and the cotton won't grow, Me and my family got to pack up and go, But I'll make a living, just where I don't know cause I'm busted. I'm broke, no bread, I mean like nothing, Â | hillofwad
27/6/2018 18:54 | Buywell Fool if you think it's over 'Cos you said goodbye Fool if you think it's over I'll tell you why Well possibly not !! Think there will be plenty of fun and games as Oaktree get stuck into the CWD carcass whilst the makeweights on the BODS play cribbage in the boardroom . | hillofwad

27/6/2018 14:20 | buywell324 Mar '18 - 15:31 - 1069 of 1086 Edit 0 1 1 ''And the road down to hell passes through the town of Insolvency And that is a very poor place to be When your down on your luck and need a stop to pee Caught short in Insolvency is like being between a rock and a boulder Not one Insolvent person lets you cry on their shoulder Oh yes, this may be the way , this may be the way , is this the way to hell?'' buywell3 AD 2018 | buywell3
27/6/2018 12:29 | Jacknife 1 on 1 to raise £100m +net of expenses with Oaktree taking the max of 30% to remain with unchanged equity Small haircut on debt to be agreed with the bank at an advabtageous rate Clean sweep of BODS | hillofwad
26/6/2018 09:39 | Is it not a recurring pattern, that flotations are often price inflated exits for existing holders? Who buys these flotations? Investors with their own money or Managers handing over other peoples money? I havan't looked at Countrywide's original flotation, but does anyone know if shares were sold by existing holders, rather than just raising further development capital? | nick rubens
25/6/2018 13:54 | Hasn't done very well since flotation? Anyone surprised or shocked by that? | nick rubens |
