01/9/2008 16:21 | another CVS investment gone up the swanny today in DTEC. this crowd can do NOTHING right. apart from shafting shareholders. | humbugg
21/8/2008 08:38 | Sorry.You are right I got the decimal point in the wrong place. | ericeb206
20/8/2008 15:59 | have been looking into corvus.. Credit Agricole still have almost a 7% holding, and may be selling a few by the looks of it.. already have small stakes in GGT and CN. .. holding quite a few others so not a huge exposure.. saffy.. | safman
20/8/2008 13:03 | More like, but I don't even get it to that much. Anyhow, I m happy there is, even with todays drop in CMM, over 4.5p value per CVS share without anything crazy happening at Canisp or GGT. | the drewster
20/8/2008 12:22 | ericeb205; Not sure where you get a valuation of £10M for GGT..........more like £4M. | waldof
20/8/2008 12:14 | I don't agree with your figures, but I do agree with your conclusion. Time will tell. | the drewster
20/8/2008 12:07 | Drewster The value of GGT in the last accounts last Sept was £132000 on a share price of .03 of a penny. The valuation now on 2.1p is over £10M. Take in CMM and DTEC and this is well under asset value at the moment. Eric | ericeb206
19/8/2008 12:58 | looks a bit dodgy here ! | scab
15/8/2008 08:58 | They have no cash because they continue to support the smaller companies they have invested in perhaps? Canisp confirmed that CVS have, in total, lent them £1.6m, convertable or repayable (CVS option) in 2009. The discount to NAV is, in my opinion, worse than most and at some point will close. | the drewster
03/8/2008 12:40 | Share prices rarely lie. The CVS team know a lot of people who would be buying if they were looking that undervalued. | abadan2
30/7/2008 08:48 | I suspect they are waiting like a coiled spring to pounce on a similarly undervalued, and much bigger target to realise some significant returns. They are in the unusual position in this market of having secured significant funds so the story goes. | the drewster
30/7/2008 07:23 | i heard otherwise. Corvus got plenty of cash and in good position. i have my sources - see my accurate prediction on BWB thread for credibility. apprently started a disposal strategy when the market turned at the end of last year - getting out of AIM stocks - cash being better used elsewhere. i think it was a pretty good move - some of the stocks now trading 40-70% below previous levels. think we will see CVS place their position in DTEC - just a question of when. lets hope it goes to a proper institutional backer i work out that CVS share price now trading at around 50-60% discount to Book Value Rgds NL | n1ck_leeson
29/7/2008 22:30 | The only decent share that Corvus has a substantial holding in is DTEC - but, I suspect they are badly in need of cash, and may be offloading as soon as they are able in order to remain solvent, which will adversely affect both CVS and and DTEC. I sincerely hope I am wrong, because DTEC has an excellent product, but, without new Institutional funding will suffer badly if Corvus sells, Regards Steve | cyprussteve
15/7/2008 08:22 | CVS stake in CMM is currently valued in excess of CVS itself. DTEC and all the other opportunities, plus their cash, are all in for free. | the drewster
15/7/2008 08:17 | article in the daily mail states man group looking to buy regans stake in CMM?? that will keep the directors happy. | humbugg
11/7/2008 16:49 | Indeed we do, it is in their report and accounts, on their website. | the drewster
11/7/2008 15:51 | Do we know if CVS has any borrowings that have to be offset against any valuation of its investments? | abadan2
11/7/2008 09:59 | If CMM was taken out (or in) at 20p, that's over 5p value to CVS, with everything else thrown in for free. Crazy times on the market, but looks like this will provide a very happy finish after all. | the drewster
09/7/2008 16:32 | Burglar's about here too... | waldof
30/6/2008 12:20 | AR really does need to do something soon to retain some kind of credibility, his Monaco investors will get tired of the same old tune otherwise. | a2584728
29/6/2008 12:16 | By the way CMM looks a pack of cards as well! | topvest |
