"Your Board is pleased to announce a loss of £24m"

!!!!!!!
Just think how they will feel if they could do what they are paid to do.....
PS and how much they would pay themselves if they could make a profit

Decent post pbracken...........and polite.
How refreshing!

Whilst it is hard to argue a bullish stance on the evidence as presented i do not believe this is a dead duck. Very far from it but like youself if i am wrong i will stick my hand up too!

Nothing more to add really, waldof. I think CVS is in desperate straits, and is likely to be a forced seller of further assets just to stay afloat.

If I'm wrong, I'll be the first on this BB to say so.

Truffle:
Why would bank put pressure on when they do not 'owe' them money.
AR owns 30%, and his 'friends' another fair chunk so you can forget shareholder pressure.
AR has all the time he needs, even f it is frustratin for pi's.
(Do not disregard DTEC as an asset)
I think you will find this is a case of the company (AR) getting on with the plans and not worrying too much about te current s/p.

Am now aiting for reply from pbracken, who clearly holds another view, though quite why he is advising people to sell so strongly at this price i do not know.

I agree about the first two, but not the third.
If the only profitable asset is CMM, and the rest of the CVS business is in trouble, then it presumably increases the likelihood that shareholders/banks/whoever will put increasing pressure on CVS to sell CMM before they risk losing everything, which looks possible on the face of it in this market?

That NAV figure is open to question. The critical data is the cash burn, the net cash and the value of CMM.

All three are heading the wrong way.

Sell, IMHO

No intention of selling my 5p's at 2.5 each
I still believe this will have a happy ending

Bail, drewster - this company's seems simimar to GME.

Say it has a million in cash - effectively the divi from CMM (one has to guess because it doesn't provide an up-to-date-figure). That may not last more than 3 months. Hence it is likely to have to sell CMM. If that is the case, Commoditrade will be effectively paying the salaries of CVS employees until that source, too, is exhausted. At which time the company may go bump.

I want the asset position clarified - what cash, and what's been happening to the cash they had...

RNS Credit Agricole increased their holding. A good sign. Results due soon and a 1m buy today so we could start to move up again shortly.

AW

Interims were on 26 June last year so not long to wait.

We had bucketloads of cash of Duke of Marmalade, but the day went a bit fuzzy thereafter ... I note our bet was one of those "noted" in the racing post.

Some day!!

EDIT: Surprised one of the big volume days was when all the boys were out playing at Ascot.

Apologies Drew': I was referring to my post last week saying one could expect to see a number of big volume days in the near future.
And you are correct i was a little 'tired'!
