Is it possible that someone has to buy shares to close out a short position for example and is just crystalising a loss? Thats the only explanation I can think of that contradicts the obvious conclusion that another bid is imminent. It would be great if it were a new player

another 25k bought today this time at 215!! that makes 65k @214/5 = £130k+ a significant bet on a higher bid!

Sam

Think there is another bid from Palmary but don't see it at more than A$4.80

gryph - still have some left to profit from any uplift!

I think Palmary will come back with what turns out to be the final bid at 4.90 within the next week or so. But I'm just guessing.

But Phyllis is someone else in the wings?? .. chinese?/ .. I have seen over 40,000.... a 25,000 tranche and today a 10,000 tranche of shares bought for 214 in the past 10 days .. that is a signifificant punt .. I feel there is more to come but if you got 212.5 and made a profit you are happy with then well done!

Not sure I understand what is going on here.

Just got 212.21p for 5000

A$4.50 at current exchange rates is £2

A$4.80 say would be £2.13 i.e a 7% premium to the latest offer

Can't believe a Palmary revised offer would be higher than this

look at all these buys someone knows something!

the reason kiernan pulled out is that he doesn't have the credit line!

Kiernon probably knows better than anyone what its worth and he dropped out a long time ago. I share Leaders view of Pallinghurst. Lets hope Pa;mary respond but unless another player makes a play which seems very unlikely at this stage we must be close now to the end.

I personally dont want pallinghurst to get it. They tried to play a blinder when take over talk was first mooted by them. tried to get the company on the dirt cheap and promise the directors jobs should the deal go through. I'm more on the side of Palmary or a possible other company but perhaps its gonna be just between Palmary and Pallinghurst.

The latest offer from Pallinghurst does little to clarify the situation. It begins to look as if they are trying to squeeze a bit more out of Palmary - and that the Australian market expects that they will do so. Hopes that another bidder may emerge seem to be fading.

What would be helpful is an up to date trading statement from CNM but I cannot work out when that might be due.

Jumped in Oz last night for no apparent reason .. but looking at buys in London on Friday someone was buying well above bid price in reasonable quantity.. the 10k I bought when I saw the buy at 214 go through I still hold and is now showing good profit .. this one may run for a while yet.

I'm out yesterday at 206.5. Decided a 1.35-bagger in the hand, is better than a 2-bagger in the bush (or outback!). Good luck all!

The highest offer in the market is $4.50 (Palmary);the price in Australia is $4.95. Plenty of shares have changed hands at higher levels than $4.50 including presumably the whole of the UBS stake. Where has that gone. If there isn't another bid there will be a lot more burnt fingers than mine. I admit that the bird in the hand is tempting but since the selling price in the UK only amounts to around $4.75, its not yet tempted me enough

Extension of Pallinghurst offer indicates a lot of people still hanging on. could yet be another bid?

Interesting move just now. CNM usually follows Australia.

I'm out at 203 (about 4% lower than the ASX bid price)

Still substantial volumes on ASX (4,500,000 today) so I guess there could be another bid, but I don't see it going up a lot from here

Well I am out too. However they seemed happy enough to give me 204 which gives me the impression that there is a buyer building a stake otherwise why no fall in the price. Anyway good luck to all still in as you may well get a better bid. I just didnt fancy the chance of it dropping like BigT

Having been in profit from GBP 0.95 I've sat with this all the way up, determined to stay 'till the bitter(or sweet) end. I do still think there could be another offer, and final price could be in GBP 2.00 - 2.25 range ...but it could also end up selling at GBP 1.80 - 2.00 once all said and done. So I'm out today. It would annoy me more to loose some current profits than it would please me to make (at most) 10% more (assuming my numbers above are realistic). Best of luck to all still in, and MASSIVE thanks to all you activist CNM investors who have forced the issues and facts onto the table, to bring this share up to a decent selling price. I hope the only loosers from here are the incompetant CNM managers.
