btw, if that's a new presentation, why is he still trying to drum up shareholder interest? Is it more than an excuse to jet around the world first class stopping off to polish the local toboggans?

“We own all the land” within the first 60 seconds, respect.

If you cannot make it, you have to lie.
If you still cannot make it, you have to lie faster.

On a side note, Marks presentation skills have suffered and his body language lacks confidence. His voice is also not the same it was some years ago.

Instead of failing miserably to be witty and amusing watch the video released yesterday of Mark’s presentation at Master Investor.

Another good listen. Focused on valuations, saying should be valued at 3-8% of gold price but doesn't account for all the studies, land, sag mill etc.

Mentions about trying to get value for the exploration upside.

If there's no canary in the coalmine, there's probably an elephant in the data room.

Shareholder: No it has African trypanosomiasis which is usually fatal unless treatment is started early.

I wonder if hearing positive news about the land would be similar to a canary signing in a cage in the coal mine: "all is safe".
However, i have not heard anything for ages

The question for us is, how far below $100m; can we recover our investment, never mind opportunity cost, and will the company return the money to us or invest it buying shares in MellonChild Toboggan Grease Inc from the founding partners, Jimbo and Mark.

Sale price significantly greater than $100 million = project success

Sale price of $100 million = project pointless

Sale price less than $100 million = project failure

End

What has been invested in the past (the largest amount by Jim Mellon) is of no particular relevance as to whether CNR is a good investment now at 31.75p.In fact you are buying all that investment at a massive discount. The company will be able to recover its investment tax free when the mine starts producing, which will be a plus for a purchaser. There is nothing we can do about the past so just focus on there we are know and the future.

Respectfully, 888, want are the chances that the "investment" that has been poured into this company over the last 12-15 years is a great deal less than the sale price, and could you have been far better off in SPX ETF. Although from a charitable perspective I suppose at least we have been able to keep Mark in haircuts and toboggans which is heartwarming.

The deramping tag team that are virtually the only inhabitants of this bb were all out in force yesterday and have been joined today by new members promoting alternative gold investments. All rather tedious and pathetic, leading to no actual relevant comment or discussion on this board. Therefore in case there is anyone who is interested in Condor and the sale process I am reposting something I put on another thread this morning.
Calibre has always been the most obvious purchaser for Condor. It’s the mine next door, they are totally aware of mining in Nicaragua and could use their existing management team in Nicaragua to build and run Condor’s mine. They could also produce gold more quickly than anyone else by adding Condor’s mine to their hub and spoke processing facility in the way we had hoped to do toll mining with them. As far as other bidders are concerned Calibre as the mine next door provides a perfect case study for how successful Condor can be in a short space of time. Calibre’s recent very impressive rise in its share price demonstrates that the political risk factor for Nicaragua due to sanctions is not a major concern.
Gold touching its all time high in 2020 briefly last night makes Condor the most valuable its ever been and should be causing the bidders to sharpen their pencils on a daily basis.

Yes, perhaps I was being over optimistic in the wording of my 'prospects' there.

If Condor ultimately returns an amount as great as the amount spent to date ($100 million?) it'll be a miracle ! And even then, it will have been an utterly pointless (net zero $) exercise other than for MC and the other random employees / contractors who will have been paid handsomely while we shareholders have spent years effectively with no return whatsoever.

All (?) or none back ? The way this is going, I'm not sure which scenario is more likely.

Condor is a one trick pony. Unfortunately, that trick is one where the pony spaffs shareholder monies up the wall with little prospect of getting it all, let alone more, back.

in Nicaragua a risky jurisdiction. The fact is there is no mine built and building one will cost over 100 million

Apples and oranges. Condor is not a miner, it's an asset sale proposition.

condor gold no mine 54.36 market cap? I think I prefer Hummingbird - they've had a dismal performance in 2022 but they're recovering and have a second mine coming up in a month which should get them into a 200k ounce producer. Hummingbird's market cap is just 106.76M + debt.

Have taken a nice profit here having secured a large chunk of stock in the 15p placing, a profit is a profit.

Moved my cash into gold producer Metals Exploration (MTL), now 2p a share to buy - I expect the stock to double within 3/4 months as a bare minimum.

They are on target to produce 82,000oz this year with AISC of circa $1150oz, market cap is only £42m.

Good research on the MTL BB.
