New 10 Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Concurrent Technologies Plc (AIM: CNC), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products for critical applications in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, scientific and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the launch of a new 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch.

The FR 351/m06 switch will enable customers to create server grade solutions based around a single switch and multiple VPX(TM) boards and is designed to optimise the Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) metrics of rugged server configurations. This should provide solutions for Edge server applications including image and signals analysis, video encoding and simulation.

Glen Fawcett, CEO, Concurrent Technologies Plc, commented:

"This new switch enables our customers to construct server class solutions that can analyse, encrypt and transcode data in harsh environments. It has been designed in response to a number of customer requests to migrate applications from rack mount servers that operate in a data centre, to a smaller and more rugged format. This type of application complements our traditional solution of a switch and single processor at the centre of an I/O centric system."
