If HUI-to-XLE relationship betters 5-5.13 resistance, it could soar

I had a reply within 30mins from them,it was
word for word exactly the same as your post.
I have a big chunk of these and just seem to
watch them going south.I decided to hang onto
these although I have a considerable paper
loss,just hope I made the right decision.Good

yes jon my shares r safely tucked away.
received e-mail on 12th Oct,
seems COT are on track to make first acquisition in the
timescale they mentioned .....

noticed the odd sell over the last three months nave been soaked up, doubt they'll
get much cheaper than current levels as most of the shares are held with institutions.

Here are some key points from the interview:

+ Williams wants to trade like he is "the house." The secret to doing well is watching the behaviour of the super traders: producers and users of commodities. You need to understand what they are doing: they usually buy and sell at the right times.

+ Commodity markets are 5 times bigger than stocks & bond markets. We all need commodities: energy, food, etc. Real supply and demand factors operate in the commodity markets. Commercial consumers buy when they expect to make money (albeit not only at low prices), and producers sell when they want to lock in a profit. When the commercials become aggressive buyers, it is time to buy. When commercials are big sellers: sell.

+ Markets are set up by the action of commercials. Small traders can wait for the ideal set-up. Large speculators tend to be trend followers and they are often wrong at the turning points. Newsletter writers are also often wrong at the turns.



+ Open Interest is useful. When the overall interest is waning, but longs are being built by the commercials, the users are positioning themselves for an upward move. They may be helped by Large Speculators and Small traders exitiung the markets.

+ When the Commercials buy at high prices, "they are scared", and the upward trend in prices will likely go higher. Commercial buying in dips in a rising market is very bullish. Example: They are buying energy now, and that may be foretending higher prices in 2-3 months time.

+ Big traders will feed biased news into the market to generate the liquidity they need to get into / or get out of their positions.

+ Betting too big... is a road to disaster. Betting small is a much smarter idea, because eventually something will go wrong when you are in a big position.

Might be 6/7 months before we hear of an acquisition but when CONCATENO do make announcement the price should fly!

Commercials - Producers and end users of the commodity or futures market they participate in are referred to as commercials. This group is the reason the commodity and futures markets exist, to allow "commercials" an opportunity to defer or hedge the risk of doing business.

Large Speculators - Defined as those traders who hold a specified number of contracts or greater in a given market, but are not commercial traders. The CFTC sets the minimum number of contracts that can be held before the speculator is required to report that position. Any speculator participating in a market that is required to report to the CFTC is known as a non-commercial or large trader.

Small Speculators - Any market participant who is neither a commercial nor non-commercial is a small speculator. This group is not required to report to the CFTC but can determined by the contracts left over after the commercials and non-commercials have been accounted for.
