23/1/2015 13:22 | This article from the Wall Street Journal says AT&T are looking at Europe. hxxp://www.wsj.com/a | robwt
22/1/2015 23:05 | And a weak Euro. | robwt
22/1/2015 21:49 | Rumour could have legs now that KVH is part of the package. | thehearse
22/1/2015 21:45 | Out of the blue I heard today from my friend in the City. Seems that there has been some talk that AT&T of all people are once again going to have another go at Colt. Rumour has it, an approach was made before Xmas It didn't spring me into action to increase my holding, even though I have just had a little touch out of Tesco. But I do think it is possibly more than a rumour, the money would be short change to AT&T and Colt would be a very good catch at 250p or more. As I say, this is only talk, nothing more!! | robwt
19/1/2015 11:29 | More acquisition activity in European mobile. | dickbush
15/1/2015 13:11 | The poor performance of the Euro v Sterling isn't helping. Dare I say the chart looks awful. | dickbush
14/1/2015 14:08 | Now it's the collapsing copper price that's giving equity markets another scare re growth. I don't get it. This is not a deflationary environment in the sense that a broad range of asset values are collapsing. Doubtless some bank lending to small oil drillers is going down the tubes but, generally, declines in Consumer Price Inflation are good for growth. | dickbush
13/1/2015 16:56 | Annual results due out on 26th Feb. May 1st we are due the first quarter IMS which SHOULD be the start of improving news. I base that on the statements made at the time of the latest reorganisation. And the Japanese acquisition should add at least 5% to 2014's depressed EBITDA. Will it, or will it just provide COLT management with another smoke-screen for failure? Answers on a postcard to Fidelity. | dickbush
13/1/2015 16:20 | Post from January 2013...Colt the Groundhog Day investment. Posted 25/1/2013 It seems to mean little to the Colt share price whatever is happening in the markets here or in the USA or Europe. Or why Colt's peers are performing far better than it. Colt has become the king of jam tommorrow companies and that's been about it for years. The chance of this company ever giving shareholder value or a dividend in the future looks more and more like wishful thinking. -------------------- Getting back to 2015. when is the next report due. | robwt
09/1/2015 09:40 | Thanks guys. Well the price for 10,000 shares is down. But what about the price for all of the shares? Probably a lot higher.... | dealy
09/1/2015 09:19 | Palace andy has it right. I argued with someone on this site a while ago that InfoTech was another Fidelity holding and Fidelity's control was over 60% of Colt. With the share price down from 134p to 125p currently, I know who is happier. | dickbush
09/1/2015 08:39 | I wouldn't get too excited about this as Infotech Fund is owned by shareholders and employees of FMR. So its just FMR switching holdings around. I think this last happened back in May. | palace andy
09/1/2015 02:11 | Yes there is a connection. Can't remember what it is, but I guess DB or someone will enlighten us all soon. | robwt
08/1/2015 11:42 | InfoTech sells its 44 million shares to FMR. Does this suggest Fidelity is still looking for COLT to succeed IN THE LONG RUN? With RB? Transfer done on December 30th, I assume at 134p. FMR LLC and FIL Limited together own over 62% of COLT. | dickbush
02/1/2015 21:12 | Sterling badly beaten up today against everything. The Treasury must still be on holiday. Unfortunately, the Euro isn't making any progress against Sterling as Europe's problems continue. Let's hope for some stimulatory policies this year to make Europe a more attractive area for business and acquisitions. | dickbush
31/12/2014 08:58 | Chinese year of the Colt (Horse) lasts until 18th Feb so lets hope early 2015 brings some good news!! Happy new year all! | palace andy
30/12/2014 18:54 | Cheers .... Prost | mirko
30/12/2014 15:52 | Cheers DB. I will drink to that. | robwt
30/12/2014 13:21 | Best wishes to all the patient holders of Colt shares for a happy and prosperous 2015. | dickbush
19/12/2014 15:57 | Finncap have been bearish for the last three years at least. If you had any taken notice of Fincapp, you would have lost out on some good rallies. The majority of other brokers are positive on Colt. Colt are due a re-rating anytime soon. I am hoping that they will be 140p next week and reach the 177p 1 for 3 split in January. After 177p they will fly. | robwt
16/12/2014 10:18 | robwt I think you've been taken in by the PR of hedge funds. They only deliver wealth to themselves. Classic heads I win, tails you lose type of investment. | dickbush
15/12/2014 23:24 | DB...I dont think Bhasin is any good, but they have had deadbeats running Colt for years. Fidelity are like all fat overweight sloppy funds, morbidly obese competing against the fitness and speed of the hedge funds. | robwt |
