28/6/2011 13:14 | mmm...I almost did that but cant help thinking sittin and waiting will get the share price to 140p. There was an brokers note saying 140p and that was a while ago when things looked a lot riskier.....thats one big deal they have signed and I reckon there could be a nice profit rise in 6 months and a new tp of 200p Saying that .....I dont hold loads so I was always going to sit this one out for a bagger. | greg the grinch
28/6/2011 11:19 | Out at 89.45p Hope I've done the right thing. | diamond1
27/6/2011 16:50 | Lot of late sells but share price finished on a high for the day. That's got to be a good sign. See what tomorrow brings. | diamond1
27/6/2011 11:22 | Contract well received. Top of the gainers board. Nice. | diamond1
27/6/2011 07:37 | Despite a degree of uncertainty, hopefully todays results should allay fears over the co.s progress in adjusting for the future, these results clearly show that there are significant differences in how the co. should be valued as a whole and that negativity is considerably overplayed. This is a well-run co. in a difficult market, and has continued to achieve despite considerable uncertainty with the SDSR., it deserves a higher rating alone on account of MASS, hopefully this valuation gap will now start to close. | bookbroker
31/3/2011 11:13 | Bit of interest over the last couple of days following contract announcement. Life in the dog yet. | diamond1
17/2/2011 19:35 | Parallel lines in log (and linear) charts. For me, one of the greatest featurs of advfn's charting system is its ability to draw simple parallels on log charts. When I say simple, I mean exactly that. The lines are simple, straight lines defined by three points, the two reference points on the first line and a single point pinpointing the middle of the second line. You'd be amazed at how complicated some systems make this. I would love to have the facility to draw more than one parallel. Again there are numerous ways charting systems have of allowing you to do this. Ask me. | horneblower
17/2/2011 19:33 | Simple lines: The method of drawing lines (horizontal, oblique, etc) is fine; chose the line-type from the ikons, click on the chart to fix one end, move to the other end as the line is drawn for you in real-time, when satisfied click again and the line is fixed and can easily be edited. This is excellent. It would be nice to be able to extend the line-ends to the edge of the chart. There are numerous ways charting systems have of allowing users to do this. I would be happy to suggest some. | horneblower
16/2/2011 16:54 | Log chart price-scale adjustment. I know how tricky this is to achieve but it's a must imo. Also, there are a large number of standard, linear charts available for use in threads but not a single log chart. See examples of linear charts here... | horneblower
16/2/2011 16:17 | It would be great to have a log scale that can be manipulated like that of IG Index. Once in log scale mode it is fixed unlike the auto scale mode. At the moment IO have to use an overlay to do projections by finding a faster rising stock, not ideal! | jamesiebabie
16/2/2011 16:14 | I think ADVFN's charting is pretty good but it has some strange defficiencies and some strange operating quirks. I would like to offer some suggestions. Perhaps others will too. | horneblower
16/2/2011 16:11 | A thread to help ADVFN improve its charting systems. | horneblower
25/1/2011 09:39 | An interesting idea, sell Beckington Castle and relocate staff at Bristol, no co. needs chattels, at the right price I'm sure it will fetch a reasonable price. | bookbroker
25/1/2011 09:37 | Let's hope that we don't have a kitchen sink job before the new manager takes his post up at SEA, needs to have his finger on the pulse pretty darned quick, otherwise he might find his post turns out to be rather short-term, holding on here for better things to come, but almost looks familiar to last years 'Annus Horriblis'! | bookbroker
16/12/2010 19:34 | Diamond 1- I have a day job(albeit shifts)with no computer access, only 20 minute delayed prices by phone so I sold as soon as.Also a young family keeps me more than occupied. - Am I excused? | geraldus
16/12/2010 17:12 | geraldus, Took you a long time to say so. It hasn't been near that since very early today. | diamond1
16/12/2010 15:55 | Got out at 77p at a reduced profit. Can't afford to take your eye off the ball in this game. | geraldus
16/12/2010 09:48 | Looks like I got this one wrong. Tried to sell at 76p a few minutes ago. Order rejected as it fell further. | diamond1
16/12/2010 09:16 | Bad miss, having stated in Oct. profits would be in line with forecasts, they knew the troubles at SEA, this co. would be better off in private hands, limited scope for growth and although the cash at half year looks good, what is there for investors, markets too small and niche. | bookbroker
06/12/2010 14:59 | Second leg up ahead of results on 16th December? | diamond1 |
