Carwhite, its not a ramp, with all due respect I have paid a heavy price for being "wrong" as I have mentioned before , and as a consequence have a considerable stake in this business!! I am just suggesting giving it a few more weeks, if not move on!!

PS Short them if your brave enough!!

cool runnings at times like these you unsubstantiated ramps are really not welcomed...look at the damage you did last time with your fictitious groundless bid offer rumour.

Its obvious the share price will drift down from here.

psolomons - I feel the same to be honest. Thankfully I have only 10000. This share really has been a major dissapointment over the years.

Pretty dissapointing full year results. Difficult to know what to do, sell at a loss or wait for bid news. Waiting could reap rewards but no bid would mean serious losses with a drop to 14p or less. I hate these dilemas ! I hold 78000 so not easy decision.

Eastern Europe is a really tough market, yes sure is but the company has continually told us it does its homework. Without any news of substance it has to be a drift down from here.

Eastern Europe is a really tough market to make a success of, even in the best of times which is not exactly now, what with different languages, cultures, currencies etc.
Also, the company has all its eggs in the one Eastern European basket so it will have to manage its business very carfully to make a real success of it.

Whatever..all I see is a continued flow of share issues their by diluting us shareholder's value.

I was under the impression that each new site was carefully analysed before taking it on, which makes it very difficult to understand why so many outlet closures

If you look at the previous trading update from management there was zero mention of "strategic review and or discussions" today after abt 7 months in discussions, we got.....

Strategic Review

"The Company announced on 12 June 2009 that it was undertaking a strategic review
to enable it to take advantage of a number of acquisition and other
opportunities. The Company announced that, as part of that process, a party had
also initiated discussions which might or might not lead to an offer for the
Company and also that the Company had been approached by a number of potential
strategic partners and investors. Discussions in this context are still ongoing.

It should be noted, however, that there can be no certainty that an offer will
be made nor as to the terms on which any offer will be made nor that the Company
will conclude any arrangements with any interested parties. A further
announcement will be made in due course, as appropriate. "

The main part for me was that an interested party might make an offer...now the only reason talks will be ongoing at this stage of events ie 7 months is if a approx fair price has already been established for the business (obviously if a low price was offered then COH would have ended talks some time ago, so a fair price to both parties is obviously being discussed) and the fact that DD is still taking place!

Share price has held up reasonably well today after what I would consider below expectation half yearly results. Nothing new on the potential buyer mentioned in June this year - probably what's keeping the share price stable today.

Stay invested here. This has just been released. I know its UK but must be a good indicator.

COFFEE SHOP CULTURE RIDES OUT RECESSION
By Holly Williams, Press Association City Staff
Coffee shops have been defying the recession by snapping up yet more space on
Britain's high streets as figures suggest the daily cup of coffee is one treat
consumers cannot do without.
While retailers have been falling by the wayside amid the recession, recent
research showed growth in the overall number of coffee outlets in major UK
cities more than doubling to 7% in the past year.
And the six largest coffee chains in the sector almost doubled their combined
store space - up 47% - in the year to September 30, the study from The Local
Data Company showed.

Carwhite, I was adamant and still am, an offer was made at a fairly decent premium, the management were reluctant to sell and no formal announcement was ever made. I have as a consequence been left with a very significant stake in the company having bought all the way down from 40p!! I am not convinced a bid will be forthcoming this time either however fundamentally the business is pretty solid.....I guess its one of those stocks you think you have an edge with when buying for a bid yet, you end up a long term investor ie not a very good trade!! Good luck
