I'm surprised we're not higher, and fully expect us to play catch-up at some point soon on any positive news. Given the current prices, Vele is now feasible especially as DB himself said, prices are now expected to remain higher. We are due an update on 28-October. I was hoping after previous conversations with the company that they would provide more colour on the acquisition of the cash generating asset on this date, with shareholder approval to be granted at the AGM in November. Maybe slightly optimistic on my part but they had hoped to have the asset nailed down by the end of October. I do believe there will be a further wave of consolidation in the South African mining sector, and we are part of that process as opposed to being an outright take-over target. I have faith in the management team to deliver, and if they don't then i'm sure we're be snapped up by a major Chinese/Indian player. if management can get it right, secure the IWUL, then this is a sure multi-bagger from these levels, especially in the longer term when you consider the size of our GSP assets relative to Makhado.

2bozmo , any further developments or word on an acquisition during October , and does Wescoal ever come up as a target for takeover ?

with Mr Ding now on the board as a representative from HEI we can safely assume that it is unlikely that we a going to be a take over target and from what Mr Pryor has to say about Mr Ding it looks like we are going mining soon ! unless Exxaro runs out of resources for its Thabametsi Power Project !!!!

Right on our doorstep. Someone suggesting on other boards that someone like Exxaro (or Chinese/Indian counterpart) might take us out given recent move in coal prices

UC seems to be done with , for now at least , so if we were to get that ever elusive IGA , that's the only way we are going to reverse the direction in the share price , by the end of this year or at least before H2 2017 , what are our options ?

why would you think its somebody accumulating over the past few weeks on a steady downward slide of the share price , does this not reflect somebody disposing of the stock compared with a steady uptrend reflecting a process of accumulation ?

Someone accumulating these over recent weeks. Think these are a buy now on expectation conference call brings some positive news tomorrow. Half an hour to go. Maybe last chance to get in at these levels?

their ducks are more than aligned , by the look of things they're ready to fly the coop , Kangala for Eskom and NCC for the export market at a premium

A cheeky bid at 20c?Given their cash flow for their record levels of production, I don't think we'll pay more, and that's a 43% premium to current share price. My conversation with company suggest its still on the radar and still a great fit. Might find out more this Friday. I assume if we were to make another offer then all the ducks would need be aligned, no waiting for a UC/Eskom deal that still hasn't happened

with all the positive news enveloping UC , and it is just good news after good news for them , their share price is anchored at the 14c level . what could their catalyst be ?

By all accounts, company hopes to have cash generating asset nailed on by end October. Let's hope some clarity in the update next week.

this amount of downward pressure , with increasing volume on each leg down ,is extremely worrying . this definitely requires clarification from the company on what is going on and why the downward spiral to the best of their ability should be forthcoming immediately , and the 30th is just too long away to wait for a non directional report !

there is definitely something going on with Keaton , there has'nt been this much interest in them since before the carbon atom became public knowledge , sharing is caring ........
