04/4/2015 07:11 | not convinced about gold and silver stocks, but we shall see consensus is that these horrid figures are just a nasty blip and the coming months will see a return to job growth .... and possibly earnings too | goldilocks1
04/4/2015 00:33 | Thanks mike740. I'll post there then. | macarre
03/4/2015 16:39 | Found it....... March's report of just 126,000 payrolls was the worst since December 2013. Which means Gold and Silver will shoot up over the next week..........YEEE HAAAAA I postioned for this happening on thursday before the close. It means an increase in interest rates is kicked further down the road and the dollar will be weaker as a result. Yeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaa. My gold and silver stocks will be sky higher come tuesday. | mike740
03/4/2015 16:34 | They are open monday. What was the figure? I saw 245k was looked for. | mike740
03/4/2015 16:17 | meanwhile ..... US jobs data was very weak as a result of which cash DOW dumped 170 points to 17589 - the US markets are closed today, but not sure about monday my gut tells me that the drop is badly o'done but not sure if i'll dare back it with my wallet | goldilocks1
03/4/2015 13:14 | macarre.... Yep no probs but we consider our sister site.... epic FAR9 as the best place for individual stocks. | mike740
02/4/2015 23:26 | Is it OK to discuss shorting companies here, or only indices and fx plays? | macarre

01/4/2015 17:07 | Closed my FTSE100 short this morning when it briefly touched 6700. Captured 300 points in total, making a tidy profit. Just can´t wait for FTSE to make new highs again... | macarre
01/4/2015 08:38 | didn't foresee the huge drop in either DOW or FTSE, but never mind ..... DOW keep an on 17,650 for support ..... it dipped sharply below that during the night but is now just over 17,700 FTSE not sure, but i guess 6750 may be lower support | goldilocks1
30/3/2015 14:57 | DOW BIG BIG smile :-) i had a small long running that was quite nastily out of the money for a while with today's BOOOOM!! i have just cashed in a very tasty profit (+165) and shall now wait to see if 18,000 proves too great a hurdle | goldilocks1
30/3/2015 13:55 | Just a case macarre of having the time and patience. Itl come to you in the end and then its a real doodle. | mike740
30/3/2015 12:59 | All - thanks for the tips on how to post charts. I'm travelling tonight and am having to look after my boy so am struggling to get time to try out what you posted above. But, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the help. | macarre
30/3/2015 12:55 | If you use the Advfn , they come with a range of drawing tools on the left of and below the chart. If you then want to post the result, click on the camera at bottom right and then on "Manage your Chart Screenshots with Chart Grabber" near the top and it will present you with a list of charts that you have created - simply copy and paste the HTML in the link box. Obviously these are then static images much like when using paint. Example :- free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | skinny
30/3/2015 12:47 | as i have L2 for trading on my IG account, a 15 minute delay is no big deal clearly, i need to start messing about with ADVFN charts for posting here .... i hope they'll be as clear and friendly as the ones on MAM | goldilocks1
30/3/2015 12:31 | Cheers Skinny. Dont know where Shorty is. | mike740
30/3/2015 12:04 | Not that I'm aware of - obviously the index figures are delayed in monitor - unless you up your membership. | skinny
30/3/2015 11:56 | Goldy you mean is it live.......as far as I know yes. (might be 15 minute delay like other sites) but I know what your getting at when you use PAINT Its data capture and isnt live is just a snap shot taken when you have done it like a photo. Skinny have you any idea on advfn charts do they have a 15 min delay please??. | mike740
30/3/2015 11:06 | Or replace the dots with the copied HTML :- <img src="......." /> | skinny
30/3/2015 11:02 | mike - does that info then stay up to date, or is it of the moment only? | goldilocks1
30/3/2015 08:57 | Now to open this out just use the html code below horizontaly all bunched up together other than a space between img and src img src = " then place your chart after code above and code below to finish off. " > horizontaly again and you should get this................ | mike740
30/3/2015 08:52 | Hi lads, no you dont have to use paint ON ADVFN charts unless you want to place on trend lines patterns and annotations. Just go to top of page click on basic chart followed by yes in that silly box that follows. Then use procedure below...... 1.right click on chart 2.left click on Copy Image URL........... this saves chart to PCs memory 3.Drop the chart in first available box here.......using you keypad..... control button and letter V, simultanious together......and you get this | mike740
29/3/2015 13:53 | FTSE my inclination would also be to stay short i am fairly bearing about the markets in general and i don't they'll take too kindly to the latest poll results IG still indicate tories with 12 seat lead over labout (down from 18), but markets hate uncertainty at the best of times | goldilocks1 |
