i don't think that is 100% correct as i think that, having got past the screencast bit and thence pasted to advfn, you need to add at the beginning the string

Hi Guys thats why I kept pointing out yesterday to you, you had to use paint and THEN your uploader. By using paint you are then giving yourself a new extension and the site accepts it.

eg, using skinny chart above

1.right click on it

2.left click on copy image this saves chart to PCs memory

3. Go down to start button at bottom left click on it

4.Left click on paint

5.click on edit button

6. click on paste

7. up comes chart, here you can add lines, arrows, and text etc etc.

8.left click on file

9. left click on SAVE AS

10. place in name what you want to call chart make sure it as a jpg extension

11.click save.

12. chart is now ready to upload.

13. use this uploader......... free, just sign up.

14. sign in

15. far left upload content. left click on it.

16. box comes up with your saved chart click on the chart.

17. click on browse.

18. it then downloads it ready for you to paste to your location.

19. click close bottom right corner.

20.left click on chart to chose it

21. left click again to make full size.

22. right click on chart

23.left click on box copy image URL

24. chart is ready to past to your destination ie, here.

25. click contol button and letter v both together at same time.

Gives you code below.

26. Now just place your brackets around it as per norm to open out and display

i suspect you'll need to do it posting to "paint" and thence here, which is the same as for posting MAM charts ..... i'm afraid they won't keep updating themselves which is pretty dull

having said that, Shortie's opening post (page 1) with FTSE chart looks to stay updated

==========

i had a look at one of your chart links, and that one doesn't look as though it allows copying
the other insisted that i installed java to view the chart, but that screwed up my Chrome settings, so i had to ditch it ... it may be that it would be ok using Internet Explorer

mike's the expert for doing so from here
i can tell you how to do from MAM, though it is quite a convoluted process

what is a great shame is that, unlike on MAM, the charts do not remain "live" - ie those from here are just "of the moment"

what chart would you like posted?

DOW
is going to close below 17,700 which is disappointing unless you're bearish

crikey!
didn't expect to hit THAT target so quickly, so now out +178 ...... was only a small position, but as this morning was the first time it had moved back to positive, i'm sure not complaining :-)

DOW
opened a small short at 18043 just before going to the gym at 11:00
i see it now sits at 17985, so a retrenchment may be under way ..... if so, 17,800 looks a good target/support as it's where 50 dma sits

matter of opinion :-)
i've opened a small FTSE short and may do likewise on DOW

FTSE looks too scared to take out 7000.

what we need is a strong DOW today and tomorrow.

encashed all DOW, and thank you very much
just may be a bit seasick at this level, but if it gets yet another wind, i shall not care either

big cheesy grin for me on the DOW, but it must be admitted after a few palpitations and sweaty palms

in the wake of the surge of the DOW - has now breached 18,000 but will it hold it? - cash FTSE is up about 25 and is also at its all time high having burst through 6960 - but again, will it hold it, especiallyy after such a strong day pre and post budget?

FTSE
Shortie and Skinny - where are you when needed?
my head says that FTSE has now got too far ahead of the game (6930), though it may just challenge 5960 (all time high)
what are your views, even assuming DOW recovers its poise this evening?
