23/9/2008 08:35 | Surely if the directors had any connection with this pension trust it would have been disclosed in the RNS. | tyranosaurus
22/9/2008 20:08 | Yes and a pension firm picked up 2.25 million shares at 9.25p when the offer was 8p announced before the close. Tut tut that is a little out of order maybe they are after more. | love it
22/9/2008 19:24 | Ditto, bit of a mystery would not be a surprise to see a connection with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston or is just a coincedence that both have suddenly decided to buy huge stakes in Clv at premium prices. Will the market wake up to this news, so far it's been ignored. | 8trader
22/9/2008 18:37 | Who are these people. Can`t find anything about them on Google. | tyranosaurus
22/9/2008 17:47 | Pension company bougt them. Nice 2.25 million buy over the offer price. Directo buys 2.2 million over the offer price. Looking good RNS Number : 0251E Clipper Ventures PLC 22 September 2008 Clipper Ventures Plc Holding in Company Clipper Ventures Plc was notified on 22 September that Mainsail Pension Trust is now interested in 2,250,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the company, representing approximately 5.8 per cent. of the current issued share capital. Enquiries: Jeremy Knight, Finance Director, Clipper Ventures plc: 02392 526000 William Vandyk, Blue Oar Securities Plc: 020 7448 4400 This information is provided by RNS | love it
22/9/2008 14:13 | Still waiting for the 2.2 million buyer RNS anytime soon. Limits are good sell 50k at near to the mid price buy only 25k full offer. | love it
19/9/2008 23:20 | 8T No problem mate. I mean a 3 million pound company that made 1 million quid last year not rocket science is it. lol Even the bank stocks are a gamble these days | love it
19/9/2008 22:37 | MM 2 Are you for real? Director buys 2 million share and rumour that he has bought 2.2 million more over the offer. Yes pure gamble? Back to lurking but the comment did seem to be a little stupid if in fact you meant what you said. | love it
19/9/2008 22:01 | 8trader why should i invest in this ???????/ tell me because i cant find value whats so ever, looks like a pure gamble !!! MM | market maker2
19/9/2008 14:00 | Might have to wait until next week for that RNS that will kick start this in a big way when punters finally wake up to what is happening here. | 8trader
18/9/2008 10:47 | When you have a mm like Hoods pushing up the bid you know it's a winner, Hoods usually are a offer only mm, starting to get a little interest but should be more when the director is buying large % blocks at still a big premium to the current price. | 8trader
17/9/2008 23:34 | Remember, they passed the dividend when there was no need to do so. So I am just starting to suspect that there is something more Machiavellian at play here. Just what I am not sure, but it could be some 'active investors' attempt to take the company out while it is so cheap. | joan of arc
17/9/2008 16:02 | If it was oil and gas or quite simply a popular penny there would be trades galore, is this guy buying as much as he can on the cheap before launching a bid or does he want to just increase his stake vastly while the stock still represents great value ? | 8trader
17/9/2008 15:53 | I think the 2.2m is in addition to Sir Robin buying his 2m. I would not be surprised if Mr Ward has not bought a load also as the p/e is rediculously low and they are just as entitled to take advantage of the silly share price as anyone else. But there has now been at least 4.2m shares purchased in the last week if not 4.7m that is approx 12% of the company and yet the price still doesn't move!!! | pat dunk
17/9/2008 13:59 | I thought I had it worked out. Now there is 2.2m at 9.25p just reported. I assume this is the end of the dealings and that it all ties up. | tyranosaurus
17/9/2008 11:52 | The rest of it seems to have just showed up ty. | 8trader
16/9/2008 22:01 | Good to see some substantial director buying from a man in the know! "Clipper Ventures Plc ("Company") was notified on 15 September that Sir Robin Knox-Johnston acquired 100,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 10 September 2008 at a price of 8 pence per share and a further 2,000,000 Ordinary Shares on 15 September 2008 at a price of 9.25 pence per share." | scburbs
16/9/2008 18:40 | How did he buy 2m at 9.25p on 15th ? Only large trade was 1.5m at 9.25p on 12th. | tyranosaurus
16/9/2008 12:52 | Makes you wonder though, a director buys not just a few grand but almost 200k at a substantial premium and there's not even one trade ! In the old days the shareprice would have rocketed on that announcement but this is a dire market. | 8trader
16/9/2008 09:27 | Wow a director buys the stock at 9.25p and it's still 8p offer ! RNS Number : 5200D Clipper Ventures PLC 16 September 2008 Clipper Ventures Plc Directors' Shareholding Clipper Ventures Plc ("Company") was notified on 15 September that Sir Robin Knox-Johnston acquired 100,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 10 September 2008 at a price of 8 pence per share and a further 2,000,000 Ordinary Shares on 15 September 2008 at a price of 9.25 pence per share. Following these purchases, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston is interested in 4,849,941 Ordinary Shares representing 12.4 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. | 8trader
14/9/2008 13:18 | Yes i did not check that, i've looked through the trades recently and there is the odd day where large blocks have changed hands so somebody is obviously getting out but more importantly somebody is buying big, if this was a popular stock that trade at 9.25p would have generated hundreds of posts over the weekend but how quiet is this, the mm's seem to have a little stock to play with but when that dries up i can see this easily getting above 10p and if that trade is a new buyer then the excitment there might push it much further medium term, fundamentally it can trade at double the price and still look cheap. | 8trader
14/9/2008 10:58 | RNS 3/9/08 David Newton no longer holds a notifiable interest. Therefore he must have less than 3%. | tyranosaurus |
