05/9/2008 14:57 | Should get good press...see someone managed to pick up a cheap 50k. Well done whoever it was. | argy2
05/9/2008 14:49 | Thanks Des. Looks good to me! Continues to be ridiculously cheap! | scburbs
05/9/2008 14:48 | PE is 2.6. NTAV is 11.3p per share. Net Cash is 2.5p per share. No divi. Forward outlook is okay. | deswalker
05/9/2008 14:38 | Finals out people. | deswalker
04/9/2008 16:44 | LOL! They are clearly keeping a track on the ADFVN posts. In which case can I just say, hurry up and release the results! | scburbs
04/9/2008 16:29 | correction just posted :) | deswalker
04/9/2008 16:27 | Des, That was my thought too. Shortly after my initial thought that surely this is a closed period! Looks like this is where the David Newton shares went. | scburbs
04/9/2008 16:17 | Never heard of David Barry as a Director but he now holds 3.13%. I suspect it should be a "Holding in Company" RNS instead. | deswalker
03/9/2008 20:07 | Aug 30th 07 announcement he had 1.5m or 3.8% | argy2
03/9/2008 20:07 | Check out the news release dated 30 August 2007. | deswalker
03/9/2008 19:11 | They do not show on Advfn news. | tyranosaurus
03/9/2008 14:19 | Had around 4% last time if I remember. | argy2
03/9/2008 13:55 | No, there's been at least one notification since then. Before this sale he had exactly 1.5 mill shares. I find it hard to believe that he's dripping them in the market, more likely he's out completely for whatever reason IMO. The drop in the share price is clearly linked to these various big stakes changing hands at agreed prices. To quote King Kev ... I'd love it if they were buybacks, just love it .... but suspect not unfortunately. | deswalker
03/9/2008 13:21 | I have checked back and the previous shareholder notification was 23/11/06 when he had 15.07%. How come there has been none in between ? | tyranosaurus
03/9/2008 12:52 | He could still have 2.9% which might hold us back for a while. But once this stock is placed then we should re-bound quite nicely. And the sooner the Board get the results out then the sooner that this overhang is likely to get cleared up. | mesquida
03/9/2008 10:17 | Looks like David Newton has sold out completely. Certainly below threshold anyway. | deswalker
01/9/2008 22:03 | What makes you think that all the trades are sales? Do you really think that the marketmakers would take that much stock onto their books? No, of course they would not. Fact is that some of today´s trades were cheap purchases - if the market has a large seller and you are dealing in size with a proper broker then you should always be able to buy nearer to the bid price rather than the offer price. However, basic trade analysis services, such as that provided by ADVFN, will always show such purchases as sales precisely because they have been executed nearer to the bid price rather than the offer price. | mesquida
01/9/2008 16:13 | he certainly is no loss to the company - it may simply be that he was surplus to requirements an d the company decided to save his salary! | pat dunk
01/9/2008 15:45 | M, If what you speculate is correct then why are all the trades showing as sells. After all with that quatity whoever sold would probably be in the know too. Also funny how the price has been marked up. | joan of arc
01/9/2008 15:19 | Today´s news does not strike me as being bad for the Company, but the subsequent dealing volume intrigues me! After all, the departing Director held no shares so why should his departure herald the largest dealing volume that we have seen for some time. Perhaps his departure was brought about by the imminence of some developments of a corporate nature, which for whatever reason he felt were not compatible with his continuing as a Director. Remember this guy was a Corporate Synergy man, and it was they who arranged the last share placing, and no doubt it would save them a lot of embarassment should the stock now be taken out! | mesquida
29/8/2008 18:33 | Formerly with John East and Partners - now based in Monaco - has something of a reputation for stock-picking but his purchases here do not look so bright - some of his holding was acquired in the 30s! | mesquida
28/8/2008 07:56 | can anyone tell me anything about David Newton? | pomp circumstance
16/8/2008 12:37 | I think you have answered the question. | tyranosaurus
15/8/2008 08:46 | I believe this might answer the question. Looks like no shares changed hands at all! Either that or it is effectively a transfer between the funds managed by Octopus. "Octopus has acquired Close Brothers' three AIM VCTs following the decision of their managers to move to that firm, and it is anticipated to be the first of a number of consolidations across the industry over the next 18 months. Close Brothers AIM VCT, Close Second AIM VCT and Close IHT AIM VCT will continue to be run by small cap managers Andrew Buchanan and Kate Tidbury, who join Octopus on the 1 August. Chris Hulatt, director of Octopus Investments, said the boards of these three VCTs wished the managers to continue to run them so transferred from Close to Octopus." | scburbs
15/8/2008 08:35 | Surely too much of a coincidence that they now hold exactly the same as Close did. It looks like a switch to me. | deswalker |
