Interesting comment. Many people might be tempted to take the view that a fixed interest by proxy stock like CHY might be a relatively safe haven at present. Do you feel that a significant part of the portfolio is not investment grade?

Being in an high yield stock like chy is very dangerous in the bond market chaos that is unfolding.

Many happy returns, and also good health! It's interesting that CHY is holding up so well; if you believe the media, the main worry in the markets is the threat of inflation from high oil/commodity prices, in which case fixed interest based securities should be vulnerable.

My dividends (both varieties) were credited overnight 30/31 May, not too bad; some divis take 3 days to appear on the account.

Could this be around the low for the current share price cycle? Have added some to an ISA this am @ 183.03.

Hope you are recovering enough to enjoy the sunshine. The FT today says enjoy the summer because in 3 weeks time the nights start drawing in (!) It's only being so cheerful keeps them going.
