RossIt a case which roi bought forward and wanted to be heard separately. Icsid will have to decide whether to dismiss or not.Its simple...If roi win this phase then the case falls greatly in their favour as they will have to pay small amount of the claim. If chl win then chl will get a big payout at end.Imho

Neo makes a good point with regard to Nusantara, they were excavatisng that area for 4 years and found nothing. That has to be factored in.

Ross which part of this do you think is complicated ?Roi have mentioned an insider involved and named an official, this being a new a allegation. No evidence of payment between both parties was provided, roi must know that they are liable for their own officials going rogue. Why would chl or Ridlatama go to this much length to defraud the state when no one knew if any coal would be found?Previously Nusantara held licenses and they found nothing....So I don't understand why chl will take all this risk to acquire licenses. There are plenty of other places in world to get licenses.

NEO, If course its complicated, these third world nations do, protectionism better than the supposed villains in the west.
The united nations and many others have jumped on the back of Donald Trump, why?
Because Trump believes in looking after his own First.
Britain has a fine history of giving billions of pounds in foreign aid on a yearly basis, and we have free food shops for our own people, cruel care homes for our elderly and much more.
ROI has protectionism boxed off, even taking a good percentage of a business set up by a foreign investor, making life difficult for all foreign investors and then whenever it feels like, misappropriates the assets.

I prefer Donald Trump attitude, charity, jobs and investment begins at home.

RossI think the whole point of the tribunal is to make a decision with the info they have, otherwise what's the point of going to tribunal."Its complicated is not good enough"

I am more comfortable now than i have been for a few months on this share.

Do not be conned thread explains a vital part of tribunal questions, "the blind eye" question is adequately dealt with in post 398, para 6.

Permits and licenses are explained in an understandable manner on this thread, post 673.

My main worry is that this is closer than we all think cos it's taken icsd so long to come to a decision(granted they want the fees)

:-)

It's a decent bet providing you can take a total loss if the worst happens, IMO.

stephen

The day of reckoning is coming, we shall hopefully know if these licenses are authentic by friday.

You really need to know how investment work in that part of the world, they dont just look at what company says they do their own DD.

All i know if you have money in third world countries you can get what you want.

Those two Indonesian investors are stupid.

Thanks m8. I feel like it will set me free from my problems in life if we win.
It is sad if we loose for me. As I believe my £500 limit in any company I think is a winner will work wonders for my new spread bet account. I proved this on Friday when I made £243 selling Pathfinder at 1.2p.

Just please do not finish me off with Churchill Mining.

For future reference if a share is 0.5p for example then I go £1,000 pp and no more.
Taking me to my £500 limit, so I can hold it long term if it does not pan out or just take a small loss like I did with EUA for -£35.

Stephen

So what about chl legal team, are they not "world class"?

Noor was the one that said he was "tricked" into signing 20 year licences, so he is really important in this dispute. The fact that he didnt show is extremely positive for chl.
