13/4/2016 10:38 | People don't pile into a share solely on their belief in a story - instead they accumulate over a period or perhaps already are comfortable with their existing holding. The piling in happens when the herd gets a sniff of news which usually creates havoc with a stock like CHL because it moves very quickly. Then once the herd has piled in they sell and disappear like locusts, moving on to the next company. | weegeordie

13/4/2016 10:26 | there are a few new people that apparently have no interest apart from bickering with each other. Also 1 very new to advfn. I just skim over what I think maybe an invalid opinion or bickering. | debbiegee
13/4/2016 10:21 | BlackSS (2058) I would be keen to hear an answer from you to 2053 above. TIA FC | flyingc
13/4/2016 10:05 | i'm not prepared to take the risk, but i guess you probably want to buy but just can't do it..? | lovelyjubly1
13/4/2016 10:04 | No smoke without fire I guess always a bit of contact as we were told there were channels but we have not arrived at a satisfactory settling point for both sides, We could be close or we could be miles apart. ????? | debbiegee
13/4/2016 10:00 | lovely...then why are you not buying ? | blackss
13/4/2016 09:59 | Surely a journalist can not get a gold award for a story with no truth to it ? Also at the time the share price went from 22 to peak at high 50s in a few days with no comment from the co, COMMENT ON ITS TRUTH MAY NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE BUT THEY DID NOT DENY IT In the presentation the only real denial was "not at this time" We appreciate that the BOD are tied but I also think there was probably a low ball offer or insinuations and that perhaps they tried again in January. Indonesian press had said they thought it could be cleared up by January but we were wasting time or words to that effect. | debbiegee
13/4/2016 09:56 | BlackSS 13 Apr'16 - 09:35 - 2049 of 2053 0 0 My thinking is if the claim had even a 50/50 chance of success people would be piling in to this on mass....but they are not. Sensible punter took the money and ran at 40p-50p. There are a lot of shrewd investors watching this kind of court case stock who are noticeable by their absence. utter nonsense,i don't hold any shares here but again from what i can see the only reason the share price is languishing at these levels is probably because of the shenanigans at Oxus Gold. No International Arbitration is ever a foregone conclusion but with the level of transparency at ISCID and reading past procedural documents on ISCID website plus the better layers CHL have, i would be surprised if they don't win this round.. | lovelyjubly1
13/4/2016 09:48 | Yes, pug, unfortunately Michael Taylor doesn't allow messages but the editor of the article is contactable. The presentation by DQ at the Shares magazine event is important because, at the time of his presentation, all the submissions from both ROI and CHL has been submitted. It was (and remains) a waiting game without further documentation or suprises. On that basis I like DQ's comment stating he is "quietly confident" that "we will "walk past" this authenticity stage. This was in response to a question on costs and DQ clarifying that costs would not be incurred for stages that were won - namely jurisdiction and (with quiet confidence) the authenticity stage. ROI have been very keen to delay or, in my view, avoid having the merits stage heard so I do question whether they have any further cards to play if they lose on the authenticity of documents decision. | masarap

13/4/2016 09:45 | BlackSS (2049) Fair enough. Competing views make the market, and everybody here I know is agreed it is a binary outcome, so not for widows and orphans etc. Presumably you are not long on one you consider a loser. So are you short, or just posting on a share you have no position in (fairly frequently in recent days as far as I can see, and often shortly after patviera to say something negative about either he or CHL) ? FC | flyingc
13/4/2016 09:40 | DebbieI agree. This is very similar to the action just after the 10p share issue. May stay around this level till Friday, then movement, then news/rumour/ info. | daddy warbucks
13/4/2016 09:37 | This coould be the bottom as a lot of trades gone through at this price today and yesterday but I have no L2. Or it might not be ????????? | debbiegee

13/4/2016 09:22 | I think we will get suspended before the resultI still think we will winAnd it's irrelevant what the shares do to the resultJust means buyers are lucky to get the opportunity to buy at all time lows with a Mkt cap at 20m with a valid claim for 1.3bn bucksWOW | patviera
13/4/2016 09:01 | Just a bit late lol | debbiegee
12/4/2016 22:26 | Hi ireminisces (2045) Have a look at the RNS of 21 February 2014. When the jurisdiction decision from ICSID was imminent the company chose to suspend the shares whilst that was received and considered. They aren't obliged to do that, but given they did so for the last major ICSID ruling why would you think it will be different this time around ? For me it doesn't matter - I'll be holding beyond the decision, but why are you "sure it will not be suspended" ? FC | flyingc
12/4/2016 16:14 | FWIW I don't think we should read anything into a bit of drift in the share price either up or down. That is just market pressure according to the trades of the day and nothing to do with the final outcome from ICSID. Good luck to any trader who can turn a buck on it or longs who get in at a slightly lower SP, but it means nothing to those of us here for win or bust. Short term trades / investments made now are irrelevant to the ICSID judgement that is coming. One day in the next while, be it days, weeks or months we will get our news. If CHL win on the forgery issue there will be a substantial rerating upwards. Multibagger ? Probably. It shot up to over 50p on news last time good news broke, and the stakes are higher this time. If ROI lose now they have no more cards to play on liability. On that scenario the questions will be "how much" and "when". If however CHL lose it will plunge and we'll probably end up losing the lot, just as happened to some at OXS. Personally I reckon the first we may know of it will be a suspension RNS once ICSID notify the parties the decision is forthcoming - that is what has happened previously in this case. If that is correct then once that news breaks we'll be locked in until the outcome is known, so probably no chance to jump on or off at the last minute. Not much likely to be had in the way of middle ground in the judgement.... Anyway, just my musings - it's definitely a "no tears" investment. If you don't wish to tie up cash or can't afford to lose it (both of which are perfectly reasonable and respectable positions) then don't invest in CHL. If you are a holder when the music stops you'll either get rich or get screwed. Hopefully it will be the former, but either way, as General Melchett would have said in Blackadder Goes Forth "Take it like a man without blubbing". 12/4/2016 14:20 | Was it last year when they did the placing around 10p?Stayed around that level for a few days then started to rise quickly followed by news ROI were not accusing us of fraud.Could be the same this time around. Here's hoping! | daddy warbucks
12/4/2016 13:48 | At this rate it could hit 11p , or is it another oxs , then it's wipe out ! | jotoha2 |
