just how big is any stock overhang going to be?

I wouldn't trust Hoods for a second.

Try to show a bit of optimism,and you are immediately accused of ramping ! Yes,I do hold the shares.Yes,of course I'd like to see them go higher.As for a stock overhang,I don't know,but I doubt it.The marketmakers seem to be very careful to hold a minimum of stock in these microcaps.Try to sell much more than the tiny bid size,and they'll either offer you a third less,or demand that you wait until they find a buyer,and then charge that buyer a big markup on what they pay you.
Since the whole bang shoot is capitalised at less than £1million at the current midprice,just how big is any stock overhang going to be?

Thanks for the info,Dina.Getting people interested in a microcap is going to be tricky in today's market.Still,I suppose it wouldn't take much buying to push the shareprice up.

Well my partner got hold of the MD yesterday This is what was said:

1/ They definately want to sell the company ASAP
2/ Apparently there are some buyers lined up in the US with "lots of spare cash"
3/ However they are going to try to get the shareprice up within the next 6 months to get a good takeover value. In order to do this they have some new products to be unveiled in September. One of them is promised to be "even better then Chromolite" and they are hoping for some big orders for it.

That's the full story so all we as PIs can do I suppose is hope for the best!

There has been so much talk about a takeover on this board without any confirmation from the company so I really don't believe anything I hear on here anymore. This company is heading for oblivion IMo.

Buying by directors in advance of a takeover is generally frowned on !

By the way I think that the MMs decided that they had marked the price down a bit too far I see it recovered a bit. The directors were in a big meeting today so as I've said before we may very well see them look for a buyer/takeover opportunity for the company in the near future. Perhaps it is a good time to buy!

If this chap that you're accusing was the only holder left then you'd have a point, but there are I'm sure many people still holding CGX shares who would right at this moment dearly love to see the shareprice go in the opposite direction by hook or by crook. Best advice now? Get out while you still can and for anything the MMs will give you.

This will be dead very shortly IMO and then you'll receive absolutely nothing.

No,A4rdvark,I am not a director of Chromogenex - or any sort of insider. £133,000 is not a big salary for the director of a company.MidEires,which co was SHS ?

IMO this co has been poorly managed, products have not met market standards. Information to market has been less than forthcoming.
The only sad bit is that it could all have been so easily avoidable, a mess. FYI sister company SHS went into admin last week, similar story.

This is a clear case of trying to justify a pay incresae of............ (113K -77k)/77k x 100 = 46.75% (and this is to the finance director), and I quote "reducing staff levels"

HOW CAN ANY INDIVIDUAL JUSTIFY SUCH GROSS MISMANAGEMENT!!!!

So you must be one of three directors that are sharing the 400k??,
