06/1/2010 22:52 | its not adverse to making small "shoulders" before forging a head ;) | mr.oz
05/1/2010 16:30 | another new high today......and a strong close......nice | mrminister
04/1/2010 14:51 | Well I'm not an expert on the charts but I reckon a close above 182.5 means pretty much clear water up to 225+ | tilmanstone
04/1/2010 10:29 | yes jugears, a good strong open for the first day back with many sectors flying already.....is this the start of things to come i wonder.....chld as per normal a modest open on light vol.....lets see if it can catch up later when the u.s open...... nice ......182..... a key level.... key level well broken now......blue skies ahead ?.....nice. a 50k "O" trade gone past earlier....looked like a buy imo | mrminister
04/1/2010 09:57 | Good start to the New Year | jugears
31/12/2009 12:07 | nice to see my short term target of 180 hit today.....a nice way to close out the year......this will be a big holding again in 2010 for me and i hope big things will happen.....next stop 200 please | mrminister
31/12/2009 11:20 | I am no chartist BUT this chart is definately divergent; I think we are about to reach a key point very shortly. Either we go right back down or we make a breakout. I always trade by my assesment of the future prospects of the businss (and only glance at the chart when the points look key). My feeling is that we will breakout this time. I believe 2010 will be less about looking for cyclical recovery plays and more about "fundamentals" and solid business models (preferably global and NOT dependant on UK for growth). All of which is good for CHLD as far as I am concerned. So even though though this one has been a bit slow to date I am Holding for sure. | thorpematt
29/12/2009 22:17 | I hope it's not this time around as I've just sold out and would be looking to return around the 170p mark. (less even better) I was advised by an old aquaintance that there could be a slight blip around the turn of the year so I have returned to cash for the immediate future. I trust his judgement although he's not always right but working just outside the City in financial circles makes him worth heeding. Regards and happy new year to all. PF | peaeff
29/12/2009 16:20 | We're certainly approaching the key area of resistance again. I would say a close above 182.5 anytime soon would be significant. Get through that level and technically theres little to hold us back.... Good luck all | tilmanstone
23/12/2009 16:51 | The acquisition of Automatismes Energie Electroniques Systemes SAS (AEES), a Lyon-based secure-power business focused on the Energy & Infrastructure market ought to lead to marginal improvement in Chloride's 2010 earnings per share, KBC Peel Hunt reckons, though the full benefit of synergies are not expected to feed through until 2011. The broker said that with the purchase price and terms of the acquisition not disclosed, it is difficult to determine the effect on 2010 earnings of the power solutions provider, but based on an assumed enterprise value equal to 2008 sales, KBC Peel Hunt conservatively estimates 'that the acquisition will be approximately 5% earnings enhancing in the year to March 2011, though this factors no synergy benefit and is based on the disclosed September 2008 performance.' The broker retains its 'hold' recommendation and 170p price target, noting that 180p 'has been a major resistance level in the last three months.' | mr.oz
23/12/2009 08:41 | yes seems like it might be a good fit for them....a nice way to close out the year.....volumes are too low all week to make any headway imo | mrminister
23/12/2009 07:22 | no price discolsed Chloride acquires French Energy & Infrastructure Secure Power Systems Business Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") is pleased to announce that is has today completed the acquisition of the entire issued share capital AEES ("Automatismes Energie Electroniques Systemes SAS"), a French secure power company focussed on the Energy and Infrastructure market. The shares are being acquired from Sofisme SA which is part of the French Socaldi Group. Headquartered in Lyon, AEES employs 135 people in France and in the year ended 30 September 2008, had audited revenues of Euro 21.4 million (of which 50% were outside France), operating profits of Euro 2.2 million and gross assets of Euro 11.5 million. | mr.oz
02/12/2009 15:14 | be nice to see a blue finish here for a change.....some good vol going through today.....could be top up time anytime soon. u.s. jobs numbers stun the annalist.....only 10k lost in oct.....could make for an interesting week next week..... 169 close.....another 2 points down on the week and another poor month goes past....still no spark....everything i'm watching seems to be treading water, but the index's are at year highs....weird | mrminister
30/11/2009 22:54 | Trouble with this, is there's never that much to drive the price. Although I strongly suspect a good 2010 on this one - well positioned for global recovery. I Like the sure but steady growth - gonna be worth lots in 5 years I think - one for the sipp I guess. Best not to panic on the dips I would say :-) | thorpematt
27/11/2009 13:40 | could do with having them 5 points back today.....most stocks on my screen have recovered most of thurs losses nicely...... close @ 171......2p down on the week | mrminister
26/11/2009 11:26 | some technical problems at lse .....trading disrupted......maybe power disruption.....could be good for chld......lol | mrminister
23/11/2009 12:44 | some hefty "o" trades going on.......anyone care to guess what they were i can feel a big afternoon coming | mrminister
17/11/2009 17:19 | Kind of gutted I got in here at 255p before the brown stuff hit the fan last year. Still, I'm impressed by how it's held up this year. If a sub £2 opportunity continues to present itself next tax year, I'll buy a few more/average down with some of next year's ISA allowance. Just thinking, if either of you Gents are interested in another long term growth story, it might be worth your while to take a look at Avanti Communications (AVN). I'm sorry to talk about this on another forum (I don't usually do this), but from the tone of your posts above, it sounds like something that might appeal. Currently AVN shares are SIPP-able, but not ISA-able. | jimbo55
17/11/2009 16:59 | I agree 100% I have been buying these since they were about 20 pence.I think that this is a very good long term share. | jugears
17/11/2009 16:38 | Doesn't seem to be many people on this board any more. | jugears
17/11/2009 16:30 | good show today when most of my screen is red.....strong | mrminister
16/11/2009 15:36 | 180 coming up then.........could be blue sky's from there on.......nice | mrminister
13/11/2009 16:24 | well been a fair week here......quietly ticking up unnoticed....a 10 point rise on the week so no complaints from me...... | mrminister |
