14/10/2009 13:58 | yes tend to agree tilman.......seems not to want to join the party at the min still like it though....had a little top up in the am .....feel its been overlooked & unloved in the general mellay lately and will go up in one sudden leap for no real reason.....my holding eq to 75k shares now | mrminister
14/10/2009 12:23 | Just goes to show that this share price only went up because of the normal Emerson rumours. Now thats gone again and the trading update is out of the way there is nothing to support the price at all. Probably be a raging buy again if it drifts back to 130... bloomin annoying as fundamentally this company is great. Good luck: I think we need it | tilmanstone
14/10/2009 10:49 | getting that " being left out " feeling....... | mrminister
12/10/2009 14:55 | this is an hard slog.......no chance a heart attack holding this..... | mrminister
07/10/2009 15:24 | from Tempus | phillis
07/10/2009 10:18 | Have bought into this for the first time today, although I have been watching it for several months. Decided on the basis that it appears to be a well run Company with sound fundamentals and the potential to be 'boosted' (albeit remote) by prospect of a bid. Would appreciate some insight by a long-term holder on where this is likely to go. | mazarin
06/10/2009 14:57 | just topped up on this softness.....another £100 pp....hard to get them took me 3 buys, can't be any qty on offer.....think this is unjust. tricky.....that may account for the rather sudden drop tues.....avocent are in a different field to that of chloride and yes is does rule out any emerson bid for the near term i would think.....$1.2 has taken all emersons cash at the mo although it makes that every year.....plenty other suitors left to cherry pick this, lets see. | mrminister
06/10/2009 12:12 | emerson has just bought Avocent for 1.2 billion dollars, so i don't think they are coming in for chloride. | tricky1992000
06/10/2009 10:00 | no thrills and spills with this stock snickerdog.....still early doors but we may tick up as the day passes and some vol goes through....slow and steady straight ahead | mrminister
06/10/2009 08:50 | Results seems to be good? Why did this drop? Did it rise a lot beforehand? | snickerdog
06/10/2009 08:45 | Nothing too earth shattering in the update but it is very pleasing to note that, far from struggling as others are, this company has maintained forward momentum, albeit at a slightly reduced rate. Unless interims show any surprises, or there is interest from outside sources, I feel we shall trade within the present range for the immediate future and, in line with movement in the FTSE250. Regards PF | peaeff
05/10/2009 09:10 | tomorrow then for a trading statement.......mark | mrminister
25/9/2009 16:50 | 175 then......not bad, only 3p down on the week.....my other stocks have fallen far more. lets see if the u.s can pick themselves up have a better pm and set the tone for monday | mrminister
24/9/2009 16:13 | think we can thank the u.s housing figs for this softness everywhere today.....big swings on the dow ..... | mrminister
24/9/2009 15:46 | ....But in pursuance of a performance plan at no cost! | jodi17qad
24/9/2009 11:14 | are well it was the biggest gainer on my screen yesterday but one of the biggest fallers today.....lol......n | mrminister
24/9/2009 08:41 | This is the paragraph concerned from yesterdays Telegraph. "On a more positive tack, bid speculation boosted Chloride, up 7 to 183p. The talk in the market was that US predators Emerson or Eaton Corporation could be lining up a bid. There was also gossip doing the rounds that France's Schneider Electric had hired UBS to study the possibility of an acquisition of Chloride". The timing of this article could be significant, if in fact, there is any substance to it. First half trading comes to a close next week and a trading statement due out on 6th Oct. The fact that 3 companies are mentioned also make it, IMO, a little different than the normal Emerson guesses. Regards | peaeff
23/9/2009 20:29 | Read that piece, could keep the price Moving & if there is more than one company interseted who knows what they would be prepared to pay, A bidding war perhaps! | jugears
23/9/2009 20:13 | a piece in the telegraph today suggesting emerson or eaton may be looking again and schneider electric france have asked ubs to look over the co..... | mrminister
23/9/2009 18:55 | GS I think it's actually the 6th. | peaeff
23/9/2009 17:20 | I've got them pencilled in for a trading statment around the 5th Oct. | greenslug
23/9/2009 14:23 | yes peaeff only leaves 4 more trading days after today then.....still a fair spike in little over an hour & just before the u.s open......lets see | mrminister
23/9/2009 14:11 | A possible reason for interest may well be that half year is up on 30th Sept. It could be that they have had a better first half than expected and the news has leaked. The director buys would also indicate that to be a possibility. Regards | peaeff
23/9/2009 14:01 | yes, I bought some more. If it continues they may have to make a statement re share price. 30% RISE THIS MONTH | peaeff
23/9/2009 13:27 | hello hello........whats this movement then ? ....... | mrminister |
