Many thanks C9 and eke for the update on the current situation. I had not followed CNG properly since the avalanche and it was mostly negative comment when I did look at this thread.

From what you say, provided the price of gold maintains its present level, there is still a chance of a positive outcome.

CNG would appear to be sailing close to the wind with aim regulation now, so has the $19.5m expired bridging loan been repaid, refinanced or has cng defaulted on it?

AIM Rule 11 requires notification without delay of any new developments which are not public knowledge which, if made public, would cause a significant movement in its share price

buried in the report detail they advise that SRK plan to visit the site in May 2023 & that SRK is aware that CNG are making a detailed exploration plan for further work to be disclosed later.

Depends on the company and industry he is talking about - and the audience he is attracting - with CNG I would suggest the pull back to £Xm m/c is very very important to investors. It's just simply cheap with a company on the small cap market that won't dilute and is producing and selling Gold. Cash flow is less important to a mine owned 100% by a few very wealthy investors, including the Chinese state - producing and selling a commodity which is desired by the Chinese.

Generally I agree but the board of CNG won't be paying for this kind of PR. Think he knows he needs a few winners too. A month or two will say 'I picked this stock at 1.6p' and gain more followers for the stocks he is paid for

That $20m CNMC 3 month bridging loan taken out in January (to repay a CITC loan) is due for repayment by 23 April. How can CNG avoid defaulting on this if production & cashflow have dried up, other than by yet a further refinance which would be entirely at the mercy of CNMIN?
Theres now a material risk that the Chinese will get the prize & shareholders will be wiped out in 2 months time imho.

Hmm, wondered what was going on!!!

Snowfall impacts production at Pakrut Gold Mine

China Nonferrous Gold Limited (AIM: CNG), the mineral exploration and mining company currently mining the Pakrut gold project in the Republic of Tajikistan, announces the area surrounding the Pakrut gold mine site has experienced high levels of snowfall resulting in several avalanches and landslides.

The Company is pleased to report that there have been no casualties at site and the Pakrut site itself remains undamaged. However, the avalanches have damaged one electric power transmission tower that supplies the mine resulting in a consequential interruption of the power supply. In addition, the roads to the site have been damaged. The lack of power means that the underground mining and the processing plant have been suspended with immediate effect. It is anticipated that operations will remain suspended for approximately one month although further updates will be provided in due course, as appropriate. The smelting plant is currently operating and processing existing stocks of gold concentrate, however this operation will also be suspended from 28 February 2023 until the power issue is resolved. Accordingly, the Company confirms there will be no production at site for at least one month with a consequential impact on revenues and financial results. Further updates will be provided once the power to site is restored.

The Company has deployed emergency maintenance teams to the area to urgently carry out repair work on the road and to recover the power supply facilities.

The full impact of the avalanche and recovery work are still being evaluated and the Company will provide an update in due course.

Cheers

I'm not a holder here and was asked to look at cng... The company is pretty opaque with very little news but I agree with what a few are saying here, if the company can pay that debt down is should transfer to the share price, for that the obvious needs to happen, Gold needs to go on a run... I can't say I'm interested in buying any because it just looks like a nice little earner for the banks as it is, when will shareholders get their chance in the sun..

Reports are hard to understand especially with various loans all over the place, best to look at other loan agreement news..
