The fact the supposed brilliant CEO owns Sheffield United simply shows he buys second or even third rate 'assets' and then makes them worse !

I Think a lot are trading CNEL and a lot watching it - clearly the market is moving up and there is more confidence - wrt to cgop - MMs offering 50k online at 0.935p - a piddly amount but below 1p threshold -

Indeed - there can be plenty of added value here - CGOP is one of the lowest capped stocks out there but the difference is that it has a heavyweight on board -

I think a few AIM stocks which have not risen are ripe for the picking -

Evening - CNEL had a great rns today. Interlinked with one of their directors.

I can see similar potential here - Dir with lots of contacts and a market which is simply booming.

With a mkt cap of 600k - there could be masses of upside

A concerted effort to stem Sheffield United's losses has almost returned the restructured Scarborough Group International, owned by property magnate and club co-owner Kevin McCabe, to profit.
The League One club were boosted this week when a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family was unveiled as their new joint owner.
The family-owned Scarborough Group International operates in a diverse range of sectors, including property development, trading and investment and the provision of services such as serviced office accommodation and leisure.
In a report filed at Companies House, covering the group's results for the year to 28 February 2013, that diversity is cited by McCabe as being of considerable benefit in restructuring parts of the business and reducing debt, which was halved to £11m during the year.

Scarborough have quite a few Chinese investments - and a lot of contacts which should give them an advantage - I got the opinion they could do a share buyback with stipulation the share price > 1p -

Name change soon to Scarborough oriental Ventures - From the FT - looks like a lot of funds still investing in the property sphere and Norway's 810bill wealth fund looking to invest in property -

The advantage here is that these guys already have a history there - Scarborough group is a huge company

New investment vehicle for McCabe - anyone notice the agm resolution - they can by just over 10million shares for buyback but stipulation above 1p! - new management + McCabe to come!

just sold 250,000 CGOP to get into Inspirit Energy... another Sheffield based company going places. INTERESTINGLY... there was someone waiting to snap my CGOP shares up and a few more. Don't like this spread though, enough to put anyone off. If a company had a spread of 94p to 68p no one would deal, so why is 0.94p to 0.68p any different.
Also buys in INSPIRIT showing as sells. It's a convoluted world we deal in !

just to show how things take off when this type of share hits the news...
on Thursday I read a small piece in The Sun about AFRIAG, a company I had never even heard of. Same price as CGOP, so I did a bit of research, put £2000 in, and sold today for £2800. Pity I didn't buy a million, so I could have played with them a bit more. CGOP next ?

Something appears to have happened yesterday. Looks like one buyer only able to get small amounts. Just done a dummy trade, can't buy 100,000, but can sell 250,000 at 6.8p. So the mm's haven't got any, but aren't desperate to get them.
