Make no mistake the timing in mid November and confident tone within the statement are huge indicators for me. This suggests at least 16p eps for 2007 now and continued growth next year even without the looming shareout of work for the big aircraft carrier contracts. Truly well underpinned with cash and excellent growth and as the directors state 'An exciting 2008' .

Very nice read!

So what causes a stock to quickly appreciate in value? Fundamentals? News? Management? Well yes, to a degree. But what REALLY moves a stock price northward that you just purchased?
Answer: A Huge volume of buyers having been directed to the emergence of that stock by a qualified service which has a reputation for doing so. THIS service does:

So what is the new p/e ratio going to be? Strange that no one appreciates this as a growth stock. These should be trading at a premium. regards

Trading update

Second half ahead of management expectations

Chieftain Group plc, the industrial and engineering support services group, is
pleased to report that in the second half of the year ending 31 December 2007
trading is significantly ahead of management expectations. As identified in the
interim results statement in August, the marine and engineering businesses are
continuing to trade strongly.

Bill Taylor, Chief Executive, said: "We have set out a clear strategy to develop
Chieftain through organic growth in the provision of industrial and engineering
support services in the marine, oil and gas, petrochemical, power and process
plant sectors. We are very pleased to see this strategy coming through into the
results. Opportunities in our core sectors remain exciting and we believe we are
well positioned to continue winning tenders across our businesses. We look
forward to the full year result with confidence and also to 2008."

At the current price of £1.64 the forward p/e is 10.6 as the company are on course for the eps forecast of 13.6p and then 15.4p in 2008 which is very steady year on year growth. I think that deserves a higher rating especially as there is nearly 40p net cash likely by the year end. The enterprise value is very low indeed for a company with a huge and steadily growing order book.

It would be nice to get a trading update at some point in time, very thin on news flow. Hope things are going well.

this board is unusually quiet. Price moving down on miniscule trades.... I assume these will resume their upward trend very soon. regards
