Well just closed out my short making just over 6 points profit.

Share still looks weak TA wise but this was only a short term trade which has not moved as much as I hoped. Therefore closed out on a day of weakness and hope to put my money in a trade that moves a little quicker.

Yeah it is a brave one or stupid one!!!! It is only a short term trade based on nicking a few points with a tight stop.

Quite brave, bigdazzler! share price been ticking up quietly recently & I think next week's update could be surprisingly positive. New CEO should be keen to start impressing.

Is something going here, quite an increase for a small company against the falls for FTSE.

Seems a solid update today tho' market reaction is muted. I'm happy CHG is positioned to move forward from here. Could be a decent November statement given current NATO & US activities?

Anyone know what impact a weaker £ has for CHG?

I would have thought this is set to go higher on the strength of the situation in the middle east

This does look like it has broken out and will slowly move higher. I'll only consider buying back below 210p, but that isn't looking likely now.

Always the way Jezz! Still, I'm happy to have reversed a huge loss-making position into a profit, and the divi is also on the way so I shouldn't complain.

I sold my holding yesterday and today. Probably too early as I'm sure there is a lot of upside to go but I was in very heavily.

I'll be back in if we revisit the £2 level. Good luck to all holders.

No rumours I know of but the facts are : this is down to 2006 levels and I think could have reached a bottom before recovering slowly. I think with Russia, Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, Gaza amongst others , more defence cuts may be premature. Troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan led to real falls in defence expenditure and explain share price drop.

Divi in the bag today and we're still above two quid. I like that.

Yes a very small nibble for a CEO, but better than nought. Maybe he's timed his purchase so he'll pick up the divi when the shares go ex-divi this Wed!

Still managing to tread water above £2! There's a nice divi payment coming this Wed. I wonder if any income funds or investors will buy ahead of that?

Good intraday support in very thin volume today but profit takers moved in. I still see a rise to 225p on the cards in the short term.

I think CHG are benefitting from bid speculation on Meggitt, if they were taken out CHG might be in the firing line, if you excuse the pun !

Thanks Fang. We're managing to keep our head above £2. Ex-divi next week so might attract a few punters.

Defence markets are as difficult as ever but signs of growth are emerging, the new Chief Executive of anti-missile flare maker Chemring said on Tuesday.

Michael Flowers, who took over the role from Mark Papworth last month, said trading remained tough in the face of US and European defence spending cuts.

Chemring and its industry peers were having to switch their efforts into research and development for longer-term programmes as the wind-down of operations in war-zones like Afghanistan reduced short-term demand, Flowers said.

"Has the market bottomed out? Impossible to call but it's certainly low," he told ShareCast in an interview at the Farnborough Air Show in southern England.
