22/10/2013 09:08 | All fairly quiet here it seems. I trust we are biding time before the next push toward 500p. | its the oxman
30/9/2013 20:08 | Many apologies for the above. This doesn't impact Charles Stanley Direct, but just their telephone execution business. All rather odd. I bet they were not very happy with Investor's Chronicle as the article was a tad misleading to say the least. A very polite e-mail from Charles Stanley as ever. I'm happy again! | topvest
27/9/2013 19:40 | Anyone seen p14 of the Investors Chronicle? - I am furious! My note to Charles Stanley... "I have just read the article in Investors Chronicle indicating that charges are going from £24 per annum to £420 per annum. Is this true? If so, I find it unbelievable that you have told Investors Chronicle before your valued customers. There is no mention on this on your web-site. Please could you let me know what is going on. Up until now I would rate your service as 10/10, and recommend you to anyone, but I find this an unbelievably bad way of treating your customers and dealing with a price change. Mac Anderson should NOT be talking to the press ahead of actually communicating to your customers!" | topvest
13/8/2013 21:57 | From what I can see CS direct has no CFD or spread bet product, very limited in its offering's generally..at least HL etc push these products and live in the 21st century with the way modern investing works.. Like other main stream private client brokers. | pinkalltheway
07/7/2013 22:48 | TopvestNot sure what planet your on, CS direct just Charles Stanley "attempt" to catch up with the likes of hargearves etc, as usual with CS. Just playing catch up on a poor service 2/3 years behind the rivals, nothing new there. Always behind the game. Btw I'm pleased your enjoy your experience (perhaps you should check out the others). I have a feeling you won't (I wonder why !) | pinkalltheway
04/7/2013 08:06 | CS Direct is an excellent service if you want a direct CREST account and want access to annual reports etc. The Customer Service at Charles Stanley is also truly exceptional - nothing is too much trouble. They are the best service provider I use on anything. Absolutely fantastic. They are also NOT expensive. You can get nominee accounts cheaper, but for what they do for me I would not consider changing. Very happy customer...and shareholder! I suspect their customer churn is very low if I am an average customer. If you compare with Brewin Dolphin's service there is no comparison. That was rubbish and I closed it down 3/4 years ago. | topvest

03/7/2013 18:53 | I've looked at CS direct not impressed at all, to expensive and generally poor | pinkalltheway
12/4/2013 11:40 | Be nice to break through 400p. Positive trading update been well received. Should outperform unless market levels tank. | its the oxman
03/4/2013 09:37 | Their new site is up and running. As a long time user of Fastrade I am not yet impressed but like most new IT it grows so I will wait for a while. https://www.charles- I only looked in as I saw an old article on the M Fool about CAY and the superb divi increase over the years and as they are very active on twitter with lots of info I thought I should check. Looks as if I am too late now though. | hawks11
29/1/2012 15:31 | I would certainly recommend them - fantastic organisation in every way. If you ever have a problem (e.g. can't get a price for an illiquid stock etc) and need to speak to the team they are extremely helpful. | topvest
25/1/2012 09:03 | topvest:> Interesting re Fastrade:_ I used to use the brokerage side before they went on line and was not impressed - so moved. Maybe they have improved theri offering - Must have another look. | pugugly
25/1/2012 08:59 | Cisk - agreed. Commission income will bounce back at some point when conditions improve. Fee income is very robust. The company is very well run and will continue to do well long term. I use Fastrade which is an excellent site with fantastic customer service. | topvest
25/1/2012 08:53 | Pug, I'd argue that now is the time to be buying a quality company like this at a knock-down price with a good yield. CAY is a conservatively-manag If you're in it for a short term buck - better to look elsewhere. However this company is sound and will rebound. | cisk
25/1/2012 08:24 | The ims has confirmed that Financial Services are under the cosh - Only hope (imo) for the share price could be a takover- otherwise could have significant further downsize. | pugugly
