16/1/2007 14:06 | surely they need to cut their overheads so they can survive? or maybe just maybe they want it to go bust so they (management) can then take it from admin and run it as I have mentioned with few staff... | powwow
16/1/2007 12:33 | powwow - make them an offer! They don't seem to want much! RNS Number:5908P Chariot (UK) PLC 16 January 2007 For immediate release 16 January 2007 Chariot (UK) plc ("Chariot" or the "Company") Share price movement The Board of Chariot have noted the recent increase in the price of the Company's shares. Following the announcement made by the Company on 6 December 2006 the Board have been evaluating proposals received from a number of parties relating to the disposal of the Company's assets. If any transaction were to be undertaken by the Company the Board expects it to be announced imminently although, at this time there can be no certainty that any transaction will proceed. Should no transaction take place imminently the Board will be forced to commence an orderly closure of the monday lottery as ticket sales continue to be below the level required to sustain the game. Any transaction, whilst being cash positive and aimed at securing the future of the monday lottery, will not realise a significant amount of cash for the Company. | scribbler101
16/1/2007 12:23 | i dont get this company. They dont have a business really. Their lottery is turning over revenue but how much? I tell you what I'l offer them nothing, look after the system and cut the overheads on the technical side by 100%. I'll then give them a return if it makes a profit later on.. anyone thinks that an ok offer. I just dont understand why they have not been either taken over or sold the assets, unless they are looking for too much money. CRT, hope your reading this, shall I come along and take over the site operations> | powwow

16/12/2006 18:57 | On some Peruvian Airline going from Lima to Cuzco the cabin staff distributed bingo cards. Great fun. Branson could extend the concept. Two other odd points about the flight. On arrival the passengers clapped the landing. And then the plane depressurised to external level. Oh, and the airport shop sold coca tea - packed in tea bags like PG Tips. We took some home. All the yanks were scared to do so. | scribbler101
16/12/2006 11:10 | With a renegotiation with charities and a great marketing campaign it is possible. The Virgin brand is universal so would attract a captive audience. Chariot need to look at their business model and the audience. More wins with smaller amounts does not grab the attention of the public, they need to make some turnaround decisions and not just throw the towel in. Virgin coming on board would be a fantastic opportunity for Branson to re-kindle the lottery vision. Can someone call him? | monty77
15/12/2006 13:11 | I wonder ? Does anyone think they would sell their playmonday platform.. If so I wonder what its current turnover is with existing customer numbers, clearly not high enough because with the right focus, small number of staff it could run on a smaller scale. Anyone has any ideas as I would like to investigate that option, because if they take into admin its worth nothing anyway. Branson would not bother I can assure you, he wants the main lottery licence where revenue is guaranteed. | powwow

11/12/2006 10:27 | I see the price chart above has scope for the price to fall as low as MINUS 0.5p. Even I am not that pessimistic. In fact for -.5p I will buy all shares offered to me. | scribbler101
07/12/2006 12:42 | Astinway own some 25% of this company. If it acquires another 4 to 5% then it must publicly declare its intentions. The current slump in price has created another opportunity for stakebuilding and Astinway itself must be sitting upon a loss at present bid/offer spread. | scottrorke |
