23/11/2006 15:43 | The following is extracted verbatim from the Financial Times on Tuesday, 21 November 2006:- Chariot shares were flat at 0.75p in spite of continued speculation about a possible bid for the troubled lottery operator. Investment vehicle Astinway has built a 25.1 per cent stake in Chariot. Astinway is led by former banker Roger Coyle, who was a director of investment group Globex. Globex tried unsuccessfully to back into cash shell Roxspur in 2003, having built a 28 per cent stake in the company. | scottrorke

22/11/2006 17:11 | Not sure what your 700K represents, but at this weeks rate annual sales would be £ 3,601,520. However 55p per £ ringfenced for prizepot and 30p per £ ringfenced direct to charity, so their bank account actually sees 15p in £. That would give them 540 K PA that actually runs through their bank account upon which to make a profit or loss? | tootingbecks
22/11/2006 17:06 | Anyone seen any good porn lately? I think CRT should become a porn station. There's loads of people looking for good porn. Maybe they could make a years supply of good porn one of the prizes. The possibilities are endless. Porn and gambling? If they couldn't make that work I would ask questions in the House. | volsung

Then invited a late arriving couple to join us; which confused things. Somehow "Just 4 men and a girl" was not the same. But we won anyway and spent our winnings on poppies. | scribbler101

17/11/2006 09:50 | The only rule re offer price is that it cannot be less than the highest price the offeror has paid to buy the share within the last ?6 months. But the t/o panel can waive that in appropriate circumstances - like " we're going bust". So the offer can be 0.1p/share. | scribbler101

17/11/2006 08:40 | Why would the offer be 5p+? Calm down i'm only asking. | william-just
17/11/2006 07:57 | William...recent RNS quoted this. "At this time, and based on current discussions, the Board believe that, in the event that an offer is made to acquire the Company's issued and to be issued share capital, it is unlikely to be at a significant premium to the current mid-market price of the Company's shares." Why would the offer be 5p+? | monty77
