20/4/2009 16:51 | Be interesting to see what they do from here....virtually no more acceptances since the last deadline....these people must be complete doughnuts to think that every PI would just bow down and sign the forms!! | bw123
20/4/2009 11:18 | Another scenario is Maymask improve their offer. | induna123
20/4/2009 06:45 | last day of the offer extension , what now , admin??? | deka1
16/4/2009 08:02 | If Malone doesn't get what he wants by us accepting this pathetic offer and perhaps doesn't want a can of worms being opened by going into administration then maybe his last option would be to secure funding (somehow, however desperate) and carry on trading. | induna123
16/4/2009 07:59 | the_doctor - 14 Apr'09 - 21:41 - 875 of 878 If you reject the vote, CET will go bust and they'll pick up what they want in administration anyway alexjack09 - 17 Mar'09 - 20:27 - 806 of 878 they are probably spending more on the administrative costs associated with this offer than the amount of the offer itself. now, why might they be willing to do this? because letting the company go into administration would result in an investigation of possible financial misconduct. given what is going on at meldex, i expect the last thing malone and trevillion want is anyone looking at the books of this company. | induna123
15/4/2009 11:42 | 2mags hi , that makes sense to me mate, just sit tight , we have nothing to loose | deka1
15/4/2009 10:16 | tomboyb There would be no point in delisting. the_doctor They could have gone into administration anyway. Why would Maymask bother to bid at all. If they are worth just £50k, then they might as well wait until they weren't worth anything. It seems to me that Maymask have plans to use the listed vehicle for other business/strategies. That's the ONLY thing that makes sense. Ther would be absolutely no point in Maymask spending anything, let alone £50k, if there was nothing in it. De-listing is the last thing they'll do. It is possible that the offer will be increased substantially to get the last few percentages. However the fact that MMs have been buying at well above (upto 2x) the Maymask bid suggests that they are also expecting to sell these on at a higher price. IMO of course. Anyhow, just 3 days to go now. | 2magpies
14/4/2009 20:47 | we get nothing anyway so f--k em, if it comes to that let them do it that way, parasites | deka1
14/4/2009 20:41 | If you reject the vote, CET will go bust and they'll pick up what they want in administration anyway | the_doctor
14/4/2009 20:33 | they hold 68%.. if they can't t/o, they may decide to delist.75% VOTES REQUIRED. a big IF they decide to stay quoted then they will have shafted shareholders anyway. Mind you they have shafted them regardless. | tomboyb
14/4/2009 19:34 | Thanks 5piggs. | the_doctor
14/4/2009 18:47 | Hi Doctor, Yes, I have already approached the NOMADS with regards to that question as well as others. Without going into details apparently there is no connection with these companies and CET. Its strange and leads somewhere, however, we are unlikely to find out the real truth. I. | 5piggs
14/4/2009 13:57 | None of you holders here found out from the house brokers why Trevillion resigned from his own companies, then reinstated himself after the offer was made? | the_doctor
14/4/2009 13:54 | If they don't get the 90%, which now seems unlikely -- given that peeps are STILL buying @ 2.5x the Maymask bid, they may have to dramatically raise the offer. A clear 1p per share should clinch it -- and it wouldn't cost the earth, since 60%+ have already accepted. Just 4 days to go. | 2magpies
13/4/2009 07:00 | and so say we all | deka1
12/4/2009 18:23 | ahve almost 500,000 shares - I too would prefer to burn the certificate | englishbeakfast
08/4/2009 11:11 | thats the spirit | deka1
08/4/2009 10:55 | Good for you 29palms! | jumpin
07/4/2009 22:47 | I would still rather burn the paper certificate and take the loss than see these scumbag racketeers gain anything from the scrooge bid that this scum of the earth agreed to be bought out at. Sit tight. | 29palms
07/4/2009 14:54 | more buys going through ,people getting interested?? | deka1
07/4/2009 09:40 | 2magpies Losing the listing costs but if you're playing a long game and the rewards are good enough it could be worthwhile. You can break the chain of traceability, lose the regulators and then re-launch to new PIs at a more conducive time in the future, pocket the proceeds and retire to the sun. | v11slr
07/4/2009 09:29 | V11SLR The thing is 'Company A' is already listed, and 'Company B' is not. Is it really wise of 'Company B' to just give up the listing? It seems to me that, whilst the scenario you set out might well be plausible, the business of 'B' will be injected into 'A'. deka 1 A key point here is that MMs are buying at more than TWICE the price being offered by Maymask. MMs may be many things, but sainthood isn't their aim. | 2magpies
07/4/2009 09:08 | Purely theoretical. Company A is at 10p. Company A has a new product/deal that will see it at 20p in short order. Company A is mostly owned by small investors. Small investors do not know about forthcoming product/deal. Persons who do know own Company B without lots of small investors. Company B puts in agreed bid for Company A at 1p. Company A share price collapses. Persons who know offer to buy Company A shares at 2p. Grateful small investors accept. Offer goes unconditional. Company A directors move to Company B with good options package/golden hello. Company B announces new product/deal. Company B price soars. Result PIs are removed from the picture. Persons in the know profit greatly. I am NOT saying this is happening here. | v11slr |
