WllmherkHe sound like a man who's at the helm but has no tiller. I think he should have cut the dividend which would have shown strong leadership. It's almost like he's tossed up a handful of coin and hoping they'll all come up heads.

Always weak in the summer now is the time to buy ahead of traditional winter season when profits come in thick and fast . Hive also graining traction

Same here Nortic, the word 'disappointing' jumped out from first few lines. They are maintaining the dividend though which should help support SP, and as I read it overall, an in line statement, Having said that I see share price being under pressure this morning, 150p seems likely to me in the next week or so,

I can't really say Conn statement inspired me. I would have been a lot happier if they had done a kitchen sink job but this doesn't look the case.If he'd had cut the dividend that might have been more prudent but you get the feeling that could happen further down the line...... so why not do it now.

The first thing that struck me was when they didn't say"we are pleased to announce " which is always a sign of things to come. I've read it all and I'm not really feeling it I'm afraid but let's see how the big boy react.I'll try and get an early indication of the open if I can.gla

According to Thomas Fuller "the darkest hour is just before the dawn" and maybe that's just about where we are right now?

Deutsche and Investec have been the main prophets of doom and now even their most pessimistic forecasts of 160p have been reached.

Forecasts of a cut in the dividend are rife but even the worst of those forecasts (25% cut) would leave a yield of over 5.5%.

IMO a half decent RNS tomorrow will see this stabalise. Not that I expect this to reach 200p anytime soon but I'll be buying for the divi.

I'm not expecting fireworks tomorrow just a good solid update from a good solid company. Hopefully 160p was the bottom and we can see some upward momentum. Didn't have the balls to double my holding though!

Nervous also, but you have to wonder why there was no mention of the energy sector in the budget considering the big hoo haa the other week about the Capping.

Maybe the info CONN spoke of the other day was a help and that the Government are looking into that as a positive.

What time tomorrow is CNA giving there info?
