Been surprisingly warm in London area today which was unexpected. We could end up with a really cold winter this year so just like the Brokers, and Stock Markets, anything can happen and probably will.

On a market bad day this could well outperform as cna is a defensive. This is well and truly beaten up. Sentiment can change. Patience. Patience. Patience.

Bad day today chaps, over the last two days it's -.7p so don't get to disheartened. We are on very lows here, if you look back over the last year CNA as been over the £2 mark in about ten months of it. I think I'm in this one for a while, bought at the wrong price like a lot of other investors. I'm just going to have to be patient and site on this one. There does not seem to be any positive news coming out from management

To me shares like this are very much out of "fashion" at present but that will change in time.

Some of the valuations particularly in the US are looking like bubble territory and at some point they will turn.

At least with these they have a lot of bad news already priced in the same can not be said of many others that seem to be defying gravity......for now.

When fear hits attention shifts to fundamentals and this has a wapping great 6% plus yield to back it up!

No broker wants to appear silly by calling a bottom or a top when a chart is looking dire or great, however low or high a rating gets and they certainly won't be 'encouraged' to do so until all the big clients and funds are 'in' or 'out'.

Am I reading this wrong, there are currently no declared short positions on this, well nothing over 0.5% anyway?

I don't think anyone takes any notice of the broker notes, they vary that much from broker to broker you wouldn't know what to do. They also change them to suit their open positions.

Im certain this will turn back up to 200p+ at some point so am happy to hold and add at these bargain levels.Im sure these brokers choose these targets so their customers can buy on the cheap!

Deutche target would mean more if they gave some fundamental analysis with the number.
It is probably some teenager looking at the slope of the price curve.
He could be right short term, but a buying opportunity for serious long term investors.

I'll tell you what doesn't help was the fact that last night I picked my daughter up from Thorpe Park and I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt and it's nearly November.....D'oh!!!!

That's one job title in the City we could do without. Rather like those people at the IMF who keep changing their forecasts for the world economy..... what's the point of their existence!!!

MJ19What I've learnt over the years is never listen to analysts whether it's bullish or bearish. If he told you to jump over a cliff would you.....Warren Buffett never listens to them so that's a pretty good benchmark to work off.Plus that's old news.
