Geopolitical risk cannot be ignored...The impression is intensified by the fact that one general in Libya is trying to grab the capital Tripoli with his tanks and planes, while another – the former spy chief who crushed Egypt's revolution after a coup – has been visiting Washington.

Hi rotrader

The reservations I have are linked to a low H1 followed by a high H2 to provide a forecast 490-520. - A low H1 means we are in catch-up mode for the remainder of the year. This provides no wriggle room or contingency for any set-backs that may occur. Given the uncertainty in 'Mining', that's a big-ask in my book. - It's exactly how they tried to manage last-years debacle. It didn't work then and I have a feeling it won't work this time around. All IMO of course.

Can't see a problem here, it's a gold mine.Paying a decent divi. We have had all the bad news, so the only way is up in my humble opinion.Maxed out the ISA.

KENNYP yes I’m still about and still holding CEY.

I had a little dabble with GLEN First thing this morning and closed my position at just over 330 so I’m back on the fence watching for entry again.
IAG doing well I’m hanging on to this one for a fair while.
I was also looking at TUI now it’s settled down.

Good points rebess4 .. if this board of directors gets this quarter wrong then they should pack their bags. Once the stability returns the share price should improve IMO. Happy where my average is but would buy more if I had not gone into some other stocks . Have a good weekend all.

Is the Libya situation having an impact here?

I think Q1 targets will be met. - Hell, they were half-way through the Q before they gave a forecast. - If they can't get it right when half of production is already in the bag, we might as well pack it in now.

Thanks Rebess, "new communication procedures" tell PI's less procedure....

BTW - They are skipping 'Prelims' going forward. - Only quarterlies from now on. All part of their new communication procedures. - At least it'll stop us getting two good-hidings on every announcement.

about 90% based on the way the share is performing.

The May 18 chart collapse was dominated by a profit-warning/reduced production guidance. In order to mirror it they will have to announce the same at the up and coming quarterlies on the 24th April. - What's the chances of that?

Half of 90 is 45. If you believe in the tea bags we are heading to 45.

I hope it's not following the previous pattern (May to September) though that gives 60p as a target

Boris lets stop knocking each other. This is not an exact science, anyone who thinks they know the short term direction of any share price is lying. You pay your money, you take your choice. Start supporting and discussing research concepts. We are all playing probabilities to try and get a return on our money
