I know little about this stock, bought on a whim a few years ago after fund manager Hugh Henry reccomended it.I notice it has a PE stated on this page at 3.25. Is that correct? or has the rising price negated that?

Still unable to buy in size Louie, have managed to get a quote for 15,000 at just under 62p this afternoon so thought about it but will hold off a few days and see how market reacts to whatever US does with interest rates next week as think we could see a bit of a downturn in the market, thankfully Dragon Oil report on Monday :>)

I've worked it out at around £81.5 mill.
Surely we should be looking at 100mill. minimum, given the profits posted and profits expected ,low debt ,new training ground ,valuable assets e.g. Boruc&Brown.
Surely It's only a matter of time ,even if we only qualified for the champions league once every two seasons I think the price is cheap!
can only see upside here.
I havn't even mentioned the possibility of a takeover or the emergence of Setanta to compete with Sky,which I think will push up the next T.V package.

They're probably making that much money elsewhere that this is not a priority.

Possibly the marketmakers playing games Louie, they know there will be buyers after the CL qualification and with last Friday's transfer dealings so price would shoot ahead pretty quickly, obviously they have some reason as they are still only offering 1500 maximum to buy at 61.95 and you can sell 37500 at 60.1p.

If they let me I would buy quite a bit but refuse to pay over the odds, see someone had to pay 63p yesterday to get some but something I never do, we'll see how it goes but they'll have to move it up soon if they want to make money!

Can't get near picking shares up in any size, limited to 1500 at just under 62p and you can sell 37500 at 60.6p.

Bought few Sports Direct to try and satisfy the gambling bug at just under £1.40 and should be an interesting week ahead with AGM next Monday.

Mick,
This is from 2001
"On 1 September 2007(the "New Convertable Preferred Ordinary Conversion Date") the New Convertible preferred Ordinary Shares shall each sub-divide and convert into the appropriate number of Ordinary Shares and Deferred Shares in accordance with and in the numbers resulting from the relevant calculations set out below:"

And so it goes on..

In 2005 when the next open offer was made ,I'm quite sure but to lazy to check, that the above was changed so that shares could be converted at any time after the 1st sep. as opposed to them converting automaticaly, although the rate is fixed.(don't know if this has much relevance).

Call me cynical but I have a suspision the reason the price didn't shoot up midweek was because this would have been detremental to the big boys with the NewCPO shares. If this is the case I would expect a big move north next week!

Can see Celtic being taken over in the medium term, hope not as a fan. With all the large clubs in England being largely owned by foreign billionaires I think the oldfirm will join the Premiership. Money talks, and at the end of the day who`s the bigger draw to your stadiums the oldfirm or the likes of Bolton,Reading,Wigan etc?

Its been such a great week for Celtic its surprising the share price has remained flat. Theyve qualified for the CL, theyve drawn a group that gives them a decen tchance of qulaification for the next phase and they now have Gravesen off the books for a season at least.

Herald article suggests Balde and possibly Jarosik likely to go by the end of the day. And Miller to be sold for around £2M or so.
