Has anyone on here got an idea what this company does. The divi from SIS looks a nice earner and I'm thinking of buying in on that basis but this company appears to be a shell. The bits shown on the website look a complete waste of time. Can anyone shed any light on where this company is going.

Hi theheadchef - no, I do not know ZZ - glad you think it is rude too.

To GuyThomas - this is positive news, but I can not see any significant impact on share price, if any.

How rude. People in life get what they deserve.

More importantly, do you think a sale to Bet Fred is a market value sale, yes or no?

The Board of Catalyst is pleased to announce that it has today entered into an agreement for a new £4 million loan facility ('Facility') to be provided by North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC and Oryx International Growth Fund Limited. The funds provided under the Facility will be used to repay a proportion of the facility that the Company has in place with Investec Bank (UK) Limited ('Investec') ('Investec Facility') so as to reduce the outstanding borrowings to Investec to below £5 million. At this level, under the terms of the Investec Facility, Investec should no longer be entitled to exercise a warrant to acquire an effective 1 per cent. of the Company's holding in Satellite Information Services Holdings) Limited ('SIS') provided the balance of the Investec Facility is repaid in full by 30 September 2007. Following completion of the placing and open offer and the recent sale of of 1.67 per cent. of the Company's stake in SIS to Fred Done of BetFred bookmakers, the Company now owns a 20.51 per cent. interest in SIS.

Maths are farily simple now - everything is out in the open and we can all form an educated view on value.

Current market cap is £19m
It has debt of less than £10m, let us call this £10m
So - the market currently values at £29m for CMX share of SIS + other assets
CMX hold c. 20% of SIS. Therefore, market currently values SIS + other assets at 29 x 5 = £145m.

The only thing anyone now needs to decide: Is £145m a fair value, too high or too low for SIS? I have to say it is too low IMHO. If you assume MV of £300m for SIS, then £155m / 5 = CMX undervalue of £31m. With 28.6 trillion shares in issue(or a bit less is what I think we ended up with)this equates to roughly an extra 1p per share undervalue.

Any other views out there?

Why don't you do it Morgs? I am in the same boat as you, having lost a vast sum of money on this - but I am still not going to start bringing legal action - i do not see the merit in me doing that (I don't even know what action it would be anyway, have they done anything wrong, legally? Not sure they have).

I really wish someone on the board would make some noise, since the funding has been found and CMX is not going bust next week.

Now what am I going to do with my 6 bln shares that have been allocated and is worth 2'6 ;->

SIS mentioned that the board wasn't going to sit until April at the earliest, when the Dividend policy will be reviewed. Can everyone remember that dividends are only given at the discretion of the directors and is not a right of the shareholder.
