Castleton (AIM: CTP), the software and managed services provider to the public and not-for-profit sectors, announces that on 1 March 2017 MXC Capital Limited, of which Ian Smith, Executive Deputy Chairman, is a substantial shareholder, purchased 250,000 ordinary shares of 2 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 57.02 pence per Ordinary Share.

MXC Capital Limited now holds 19,204,336 Ordinary Shares, representing 24.4% of the Company's issued share capital.
