What are the consequences of not meeting the 2009 exploration commitment.

what chances of this share recovering?



During the first quarter of 2009, the minimum work program was extended to December 2012 and contains a
2009 exploration commitment which aggregates US $38.9 million. Currently, Caspian does not have the cash
resources to discharge its 50% share of this commitment, but is pursuing a farmout of the North Block, which
may result in an up-front cash payment plus an undertaking of the exploration and development obligations of
the Company by the farmor to earn a portion of Caspian's interest in the Block.

They have some great licenses - not only the o&g but minerals as well .... so potential is fantastic if the security situation improves a tad, and plenty going on behind the scenes on that subject.

We shall indeed. On the topic of CA shares I was dithering between AOI over there or RRL here (yep, I like risk!). AOI have 80% in Somalia and other stuff going on in Kenya etc, and the price has been coming down recently so is attractive. Finally went for RRL though as have more liquidity in that account. If anything blows though will probably add some AOI as well.

cheers cmabey.... yep...still in,...I lost my patience with HMB....and pulled out a bit early..but such is life.....I can only suggest some farm-in news has leaked on this one...we shall see,.

hi HT: I noticed earlier that someone must have stepped on the sleeping dog. Not the 18c level I was selling into a couple of months back, but I just didn't have the patience. Sold my last at recent prices and stuck it in Kola Mining (KM on Venture) which I just have a thing for.

you`ve got to laugh....the last statement issued by the company emphasised the `going concern` status as being subject to certain backers remaining loyal...yet the new director, who came aboard last November, has since, quietly, accumulated nearly 10% of the company`s shares...

There`s an unusually high turn over tonight....the price below is still with 35 minutes to go.... the `going concern` note in the last results was dependant on current backers approval....it looks as if they`ve got that and moveing onto possible, as promised, farm-out news...we shall see....it`s moved from 0.76p to nearly 7.5p, close to a 10 fold increase, in the last quarter. A bit of good news would surpass the `new yearly high` of 0.52 $CAD ...good luck.

Update - back up again to 14.5. Someone appears to be very hungry for CEK ...

While it was down at 0.10 I threw another 15k in at 14.5k as bait, and just got gobbled up.

Still have plenty so will carry those for now. Cheers

1.398m traded...ie, 8 times usual amount....a.rise of 100%....there`s no smoke without fire....must be a farm-in statement in the offing.

imagine if this was still on the AIM with a 130% rise.....?...this would be top of the charts....and investors piling in......boosting it even higher.
