News of the Production licence must be in the offing...

thanks htrocka. I tried to see what might be on Stockhouse but couldn't get it to load tonight. We seem to have tailed off a bit at the end there with a 9k sell. Still, a lot better than just about everything else out there today!

I hope you're right about the bottom feeders but with the AIG news and the general economic gloom (or panic) I doubt we've seen the bottom. When greedy bankers start falling in their numbers, take cover perhaps?

it`s certainly going against the trend...however the DOW is also climbing...the `bottom feeders` are out...I expect a lot of mark ups tomorrow....unfortunately the CEK graph does not indicate a `buy` signal .......yet....but by the end of Obtober it could be a different story.

That would be wonderful. What kind of rocket tho I wonder? any clues? only thing on my monitor not in deepest scarlet, for which I'm extremely grateful. I was going to switch off monitor and not even look but scrolled down to see the TSX and thought Wow! volume not huge tho?

In the last two sessions on the TSX....2 X 100K blocks of CEK shares have been traded.

can`t put my finger on it....but something`s in the wind.....tsx is trading at 17.5p.......concidering the DOW has dropped 344 points....with market makers red blood all over the screens.....this is holding up well.


ps...I couldn't`t help but notice that in the past three weeks....loads of small PI`s sold dribs and drabs......this obviously lowered the price ...and now we have a considerable number of larger buys move in....all bodes well.

cheers cleo...I`m still here and monitoring..will keep the board informed of any important developments......I note that some very `chunky` buys coming in across the pond...hmmmm.....the next major milestone is the 25 year Production Licence.....that , hopefully, they`ll have acknowledgement of by November....in the mean time, we`ll have estimates by Independent analysts who are compiling the Technical data as to what exactly lies beneath the EZ field.

Thank you for continuing to post. Very helpful. I have nothing to contribute myself except to tell you everything you write is read and appreciated! The whole market is pants just now and nothing reflects value let alone potential, so we're trapped in the casino... just imo.

The next well will definiitely be `make or break`.(.. however...the introduction of lift pumps into the EZ wells should increase production).

The above statement strongly suggest that they`re going back to expand the EZ field.


ps...no doubt the next rns will inform us of the estimated reserves in East Zhagbulak...but first they`ll need to know by how much the new lift pumps will increase production by.. the increase in production may be enough to stave off another cash call.

from an rns 26 days ago....If they are successful in obtaining the Production Licence, which runs for 25 years...it should give the company valuation a boost.

reading between the lines....some one has sold a large profitable block of shares in another company which has become subject to CTG..so to offsett the liablity,sells shares at the same time in a company that is trading at a large loss, ie CEK, so as to crystalise the loss......then buys them back again. The bottom line being that someone still has a lot of faith in CEK......and made a profit out of a loss....but next time the CTG will be against CEK.

A contract has been signed and work is underway to complete the technology
scheme for the development of the East Zhagabulak Field. The field continues to
produce at about 784 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and the current strong oil
prices have allowed us to drill within our cash flow," president Charles Summers
said in a statement.

I`m not a rocket scientist...but common sense would dictate that a couple of more wells in the above field wouldn`t go amiss.....When Summers was running the show for Nelson Resouces in Kazakstan....he was knocking wells out at a phenominal rate of one a month.

Strange that this should rise nearly 20% in Canada today despite announcing a dry well yesterday. Volume is tiny, though, so perhaps it's a blip.

They`ve certainly learnt from the `leaks` that lead to the `Share Movement Statement`......no rumours this time round, they`ve plugged the `leak`, lets hope they don`t plug the well also.....If it`s any consolation, MATRA Petroleum, although in Russia, just the other side of the border from CEK`s well, have a well called A12 in the Orenburg licence that`s in the process of being tested at 880 bopd and resrticted to about 300 bopd on which they plan to drill up to a further 11 wells....and it`s not a million mile away., ie, on the same Latitude as CEK`s Northern Block, just below Oktobe, like Matra, CEK is also aiming for the same favourable Triassic formation......all I can add is....`fingers crossed`

I couldn`t believe this ...so had to post it.Below is from tonight trades on the TSX....someone sold ONE share...that knocked $1 m CAD off the company valuation...so as to deliberately drive the price down,,,,so it begs the question....why is this deliberately being depressed?
