|curlly: still got 25% to go to be inline with asx cant buy many online so should see more tick ups in the share price as the day gos on.|
|andrbea: shouldn't they comment?
eg no reason for share price drop?
what happened to the plans for international expansion?|
|notanewmember: Theres been no news all th way down from 15p to 5p- so i m not surprised that a major shareholder has complained that they havent come out on a RnS and announced "Theres no reason that the management can see as to why the share price is falling" as I ve seen from other companies.|
|andylaws: A couple of comments from HC bb fwiw :
Saddle up guys this will be huge, spoke to broker at Bell Potter who is putting a two dollar valuation on this.
Bought another 130k shares today.
Big call by Bells, i would love to know what they base their valuation on. i assume you have done your own research and have read the Notice of GM very carefully especially the part that says "" Energo may obtain absolute control of the company" and more importantly ""have the ability to influence future decisions that may be for its own purposes"".
Personally, i have so many questions about what has happended with the share price over the last few months and what the future holds for CPN. I hope i am wrong but i.m.o. there are quite a few things that dont add up at this stage.
As always dyor.|
|temelco: Er Pomp & Circumstance - they have NOT given away some of the company. They have brought people in who will make the share price worth something significant, as opposed to languishing for a long time. Think about it - they would only have been able to raise ANY money at about the level Maxi's Taxi has bought in at - and then only for their own existing projects. Max and pals have so much better connections than the old board that it is laughable. Personally, Eddie et al should be given a huge bonus for getting us in on the ground floor of the next - what - Cairn? JKX? By the way, my brother in law has just been made a main board director of JKX. CPNR is at the stage JKX was at when they were the equivalent of 28p. 3 years later they were over £4.|
|nicebut: I just deleted a txt i had from advfn with CPNR price dated 17th april, not long ago! 3p offer....
Still in for a few 100k.....I never cry over a profit.... i bloody cried when I lost my shirt on telewest a few years ago! I made £65 on a FCD trade the other day...a profit is a profit none the less. i try not to be too greedy these days and so far, this year anyway, it`s working.|
I don't honestly know because i like to have a fair idea of what i'm investing in. Earlier some of the posters clearly weren't factoring in the 100m shares to come at 2.68p.
Valuation now (which will include those 100m shares) is equal to £30m.
£3.9m of that will be cash.
In order to add further assets that they speak of, would imho mean more shares need to be issued to the sellers of assets.(ie look at MTA who paid for a licence in shares equivalent to at least £2.5m).
It looks very, very frothy, compared to all the shares being issued at circa 2.68p.
However, On the other hand there has been no statement from the company as to why they know of such a large increase in the share price.
People have asked where it's going and i've seen people say 24p and 50p without even a stab at reasoning why, so i'm wary, especially on the limited cash compared to present market cap.
On the other hand, it's interesting to watch and see where it pans out and gain some experience either good or bad from what's going on. Perhaps there is something of significance to come (especially in the light of no statement from management as to the sudden share price rise - I don't know if that needs to be explained more in Aus than here).
Either way good luck, I just wish some people would say what's the basis of their targets other than silence.|
T order put on the books before open or shortly after, maybe?
I`m 101% sure that at some point they will drop the price, I don`t think any of us here think that shares go up in a straight line and besides the longtermers here are quite used to seeing this go down...like chopsy`s candlestick above that goes from 8p-1p..!!
As surprised as we are now, at seeing this go up, is as surprised as we`ll be when great news comes out and we nose dive...How often do we see that in all sorts of shares??
I still think that we have a way to go yet though...Positions to be taken....Ok here`s a thought: how will the new management `reward` our new shareholders for their active involvement, generosity and for bolstering the share price? With a nice dollop of good news maybe? When would you release that news then? Before or after the 30th of May?
Why are you, Andylaws, worried about mkt activity in Oz? The release time of the news?
|nicebut: Well it ain`t me, I havn`t bought any for 2 weeks now.....i think, fwiw, that the sustained buying is keeping the share price up, otherwise we would`ve seen quite a drop by now....(speaking the bleeding obvious)
It can`t be long now til we`re all informed of the new path that CPNR is hoping to take, probably!|
|temelco: The trading pattern is very interesting. Permanent increases in share prices, as opposed to MM movements, always take place on the back of relatively small volume. Note the enormous trading at 5.5p earlier this year, which then only resulted in a lower share price. This, of course , is because the MMs SELL when prices are high, then drift it back to pick up the stock at lower prices. When they judge they have accumulated some stock, they edge it up so that eg they were paying 2.25-2.75p a couple of weeks ago, and this will be the stock they are now putting out at 3.5 -4.0p. It also protects them in case there really IS a step change in the value of the company and share price. One or two will sell now because they have been stuck with these for some time. If CPNR hits gas now, the MMs can immediately put the price ABOVE what they believe the value to be eg 10-12p, and people will buy on the news. Then they will massage it back down to pick up more stock. But if the buying pressure keeps up, they simply jump up agaian, until people stop buying. They also widen the spread. So even if, as recently, they were offering to sell to you at 3.5p, they were only prepared to offer to buy at 2.5p. If it jumps to 10p, I would bet the spread would be 8-11p. until they see the trades getting towards a balance - and then they will keep the sell at 11p and drop the buy to eg 7.5 or even 7p. I have exagerated these prices, but I'm sure you get the idea.
What I'm trying to say is I believe this is the start of a general upswing in the value and share price of CPNR. Even at 6-7p we would only be at the true value of the company without anything further in the way of reserves. If the new well is the same size as Ja3, this goes to 13-15p value .|
