Market seems happy with the EGM result.

Time to sit back - relax, imop this is not going to go into reverse and a huge crash as some had thought, everything now seems to be in place as has been stated to turn CPNR into one of the big players in the Gas & Oil sector.

Looking towards my year end target now.

Carpathian Resources Limited (Carpathian or the Company) (ASX:CPN) (AIM:CPNR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Fuad Uzbekov (53) as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Mr Uzbekov's career in the resources industry commenced in 1976 and since 2002 he has been a senior advisor to Gazprom Export, a subsidiary of Gazprom, one of the world's largest energy companies, responsible for the exclusive export of Russian gas.

Mr Uzbekov is also Deputy General Director and Member of the Board of CJSC KazRosGas where he plays an instrumental role in developing the Gazprom / KazMunayGas Joint Venture. CJSC KazRosGas was established as a result of an agreement signed by Presidents Putin and Nazarbaev in June 2002 and is the largest exporter of natural gas from Kazakhstan.

Mr Uzbekov's previous roles in Russia include General Director of JSC National Oil & Gas Technologies and General Director of CJSC National Gas Company. Prior to this, Mr Uzbekov was based in Kazakhstan where he held a senior position with the Institute of Mining.

Maximilian Danishevski Executive Chairman of Carpathian commented, "We are delighted to welcome Mr Uzbekov to the Board. His appointment brings to Carpathian an additional wealth of experience in the oil and gas sector, as well as a wide range of high level contacts and business opportunities across the resource industry in Russia, Kazakhstan and central Europe. nicebut - not really, they've been pulling in stock over the last wee while, and the two 500,000 trades took out the MMs. Usually, one would expect them to drift it down now, but my bet is they won't do anything before GM. I would also bet the purchasers of the two 500k are one or at least together.

Nice little rise...expecting a bit more over the next few days to Thursday night...6th in Oz. You could get 15.5 to sell at one point this pm. they`re still after stock imo.

Seo is an Ozzie small cap oil and gas producer is it? Did they have an income of just under a million £ and then a reverse take over from a load of rich russians with Gazprom connections? No? Oh! So fairly similar then.

thanks andylaws - interesting post in Oz back in May saying something was imminent. It could never be until after the General Meeting - or at it. I would guess the price will drift margininally upwards until after the meeting, then either expolde up or down depending on how the deal is viewed. DYOR.
