04/10/2016 13:01 | He talks a lot of poo though. He dumped Zytronic even though it was the best performer in his fund and it shows no sign of stopping. | rcturner2
04/10/2016 12:48 | Article by Mr Bearbull on the Investors Chronicle website today analysing his current holding in CLLN. Putting the bludgeon in - [subscription required] The article starts: "Putting a value on a company is a vital part of the investment game. How can you decide whether a share price is cheap or dear without making a stab at its value? Yet to say 'stab' can flatter the process. Sometimes it's more like flailing in the dark with a blunt instrument. Still it's got to be done." ...and ends: "...I needn't be in a hurry to sell the income fund's holding in Carillion. But put it this way, unless something really nice - and unexpected - happens, it's the next out." | speedsgh
04/10/2016 10:57 | On the plus side, at least the living wage should be properly factored into the contract; we do not know what the downside of the living wage is on older contracts... | edmundshaw
04/10/2016 10:38 | Telegraph article, looks like a contract renewal rather than new business | kfp
04/10/2016 07:58 | Yes, clarity would be nice, but perhaps they don't want to give that information to their competitors. | redartbmud
04/10/2016 07:57 | RCT,RIGHT again LOL | garycook
04/10/2016 07:53 | Well it would have been quite easy to say in the RNS, this contract is for £50m a year and the old contract was £40m a year, but they didn't, so I am a bit sceptical. | rcturner2
04/10/2016 07:48 | RCT With the living wage scenario, I would doubt that very much, but who knows? It wouldn't be very clever on the part of Nationwide. | redartbmud
04/10/2016 07:38 | RCT, You are right LOL | garycook
04/10/2016 07:34 | What would be interesting to know is what the current value of the contract is. Without that information, this contract could actually be a reduction in business. | rcturner2
04/10/2016 07:14 | Flies in the face of the doomsters, i suppose one day this company will be valued properly. | spoole5
04/10/2016 06:42 | Carillion wins GBP350 million support services contract for Nationwide Building Society Carillion has been awarded a seven-year contract to provide facilities management services for Nationwide Building Society. This contract is expected to be worth approximately GBP350 million and has the potential to be extended for a further three years. 30/9/2016 17:45 | Topping up on Monday. The shorts are in control here at the moment but these are on a pe of 6.9 and a yield of 7.7% now, divi covered twice by earnings, an unfair comparison to capita and mitie giving shorters a free reign atm, but carillion's work is more on the construction and engineering side of things. The autumn statement may change people's perception of this stock if the much predicted infrastructure spending spree begins. Will be a big squeeze upwards when shorters retreat. | spoole5
30/9/2016 16:14 | Finger hovering over the keys to buy now! | gswredland
30/9/2016 07:28 | I have long given up looking for any logic in CLLN share price movements. Patience is the key here I think. A lot of it. | wad collector
29/9/2016 12:52 | "I would have thought that the oil price would have supported the middle east but wtf do I know" The latest OPEC agreement (if that's what you mean)is a shambles. Russia, the 2nd biggest world oil producer has already said they will ignore it, and increase production, and OPEC members, Nigeria and Libya are not even bound by it. So it's just a meaningless exercise in hype. Nothing one can take seriously as regards the oil price. | bend1pa
29/9/2016 08:44 | Oregano - ta, hadn't seen that. | m4rtinu
29/9/2016 08:40 | Presumably the Capita warning. Even though that was quite specific to IT, the mkt will extrapolate to all outsourcers. | oregano
29/9/2016 08:33 | Shawzie - good point, made in jest. If only we could work out the algorithms, the fundamentals don't seem to make a bit of difference. Up about 2% yesterday; down 2.5% today! | m4rtinu
29/9/2016 08:15 | The whole sector is pretty well down - not just Clln. Perhaps it is the algorithm. | shawzie
29/9/2016 07:57 | OK what's today's excuse ? I would have thought that the oil price would have supported the middle east but wtf do I know .Anyway just bought another 4k shares. This must be a takeover target by now ! | lab305
22/9/2016 10:10 | wad Enigmatic indeed. I just have faith that they will continue to deliver reasonable results and, with the dividend maintained and grown year on year, a good return. | redartbmud |
