I partly understand what you mean but regarding the SP, which is the be all and end all for us PIs, this has more than doubled over the past year.

While I've been disappointed over the last year with this stock, I've been accruing a decent stash of this over the last few weeks. The reason is that I was looking forward to the H2/2016 results which would be due in the next few months. The recent AGM alluded to some decent growth over this period with Murata starting to ramp up its production from around July. We've yet to see the numbers for this and for AVX's production efforts but judging by the buoyant comments of the BOD at the AGM report, I was expecting a decent tick up...so, even without the contract news, this is still to come.

Hi pugg
I agree with your last message 100%
And that is what I was implying yesterday when some of you jump on me.
The potential here is massive and if the sales start to come in ( as they should in my opinion) this will fly
Murata itself has made last year much inroad in the battery sector and if I am not wrong the purchase some of the Sony assets
Clearly the RNS stimulate the share price action but for me personally, having been in this for quite few months, was a given after the previous RNS when Cpx communicate a extension of the murata partnership
It seems that we will need to follow murata progress as well now, especially if any update in March and April
Good luck

I got to agree that 25p would be dissapointing after all the years of R&D. I'd still be happy with the profit but think there is a much bigger pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Sit back, put your feet up and relax. :)

perhaps the jury has read the RNS yesterday.
Whether you want to argue about seeing the revenues in black and white is fair enough but the fact they have been heavily involved in designing a unique product which is covered by their technology, and a major company is willing to put it into production in such a short space of time, in a market which offers huge scope for revenue generation (which will go straight to the bottom line for CPX), adds a significant amount of value to the company by itself.

In terms of short term trading there will be opportunities for some people, others will be kicking their ankles as I expect the share price to steadily increase over the coming weeks.

It is supply and demand that stipulates an share price
More buyers than sellers will drive a price higher and vice versa
The problem now, imo, is easy access to trading and pi's trigger happy to trade with a click for a profit say of 3-5% and not looking at the bigger picture.
Prime example with CPX today if you look at the trades.
I bet that there is some traders tonight kicking themselves at what they sold at during today's nice upward move.
News like today on any share in the market in 1999 would have had the share price at
£7 not 7p.
No investment advice intended and as always DYOR
