shame really, because LB-13 was massive for COPL....to put it's size into context (potential).....the low end of probable reserves to COPL was 300m barrels of Oil....the current largest North Sea development is the Kraken field operated by EnQuest, which has reserves of 170m barrels of Oil...and that;s going o be a company maker for a company already doing 43k bopd.

the answer is, that the seismic predicted the rock layers well, indicating a structure that could support hydrocarbons....but 3d seismic cannot ultimately indicate for sure the presence of hydrocarbons, it's only an indicator...only the drillbit can do that...and it looks like the structure is devoid of the oily black stuff....

so, onwards and upward to OPL226.

relistening to the Vox Podcast I would suggest that a 2nd drill won't happen at LB-13...my opinion based on sixth sense and I'm entitled to it....."why was the 3D Seismic so wrong"...."It's a lame excuse, but we just don't know"
