Mortimer, Aberdeen Holdings sold 500,000 a couple of months ago, to go below 3%. Could well be them holding the share price down.I know it has risen well from the low point but is only just above 15 months ago

VTU is moving up a gear. I hope CAMB can follow in its slipstream.Personally, I thought CAMB's results were better.

The H1/H2 underlying eps splits for the last three years whilst sales have been so buoyant are actually very interesting and do show the seasonally strong H2 effect...

2012 H1 0.80p
2012 H2 1.84p (70%)
Full year 2.64p

2013 H1 1.04p
2013 H2 2.53p (71%)
Full year 3.57p

2014 H1 1.56p
2014 H2 2.59p (62%)
Full year 4.15p

2015 H1 2.59p (just reported today)
2015 H2 ???
Full year ???

If we use last years 62% as a base then we can see a second half with 4.25p and a full year total of 6.84p. Now that would be perfectly fine if last year was replicated, however....If they can do the historic average nearer to 70% at 68% then the H2 underlying eps would be 5.51p and give a full year total of 8.1p which would totally smash forecasts for this year and next year!

It looks certain to me that with sales steadily increasing and monthly figures for the whole sector beating like for likes for 40 months on the trot my fairly safe assumption is that the second half will bring us at least 4p and that 6.6p for the full year is a good target....rather interestingly that is 5% better than the 2016 broker forecast. So upgrades are surely on the way.

Very good signal of support though by the director buy which should give some support to the price. I had a target price of 58p but after today's results I am hanging on for more. VTU has its update tomorrow so there will be more focus on the industry and perhaps a lift for CAMB too.

There's still someone selling into the strength though. A Burt perhaps?I'll hold until Lavery's machine hits his £1bn turnover target.

Similar to some of the above posts, happy holder and happy with the results/outlook and I'd expect upgrades (imo). 2014 EPS was 4.15 - H1 1.56 (38%) and H2 2.59 (62%). Projecting that forward (maybe a bit simplistic) given H1 2015 EPS of 2.59p would take the full year EPS into the late 6p bracket.

Reassuring to see the Chairman buy £50k of shares today @ 59.25p.

Another excellent 6 months documented in todays interims. PBT uplift is very impressive, underpinned by positive financial measures all round.
Post period good news as well: a better March than last year/forecast and another strong strategic acquisition.
Also, the continuity from the Election result should help.

Love the progressive dividend after raising it 50%. All political parties take note, that is the kind of progressive politics we all like. Am I right in thinking that even if revenues are flat for the next half that we would do 5.18p eps and be on a p/e on 11.38? I have read on here that 11 is about average for the sector but with such unprecedented growth in car registrations and booming property prices I don't see why this shouldn't be on a p/e of 13 or 14. Very pleased at any rate and I have no clue why this doesn't motor.

Shanklin - agreed - especially as the forecasts don't account for the recent acquisition.

At this rate, CAMB could deliver the 6.3p EPS, forecast for next year, a year early. IMHO.

Was looking forward to another positive statement from CAM next week.....
What with last SMMT data, recent acquisition news, general election result etc etc, now very very much looking forward to CAMB's intermission next week.....
Not surprisingly I continue to view CAMB's share price as significantly undervalued.

Strongest April figures for a decade even though there is supposed to be Election uncertainty affecting the economy....that should send a strong contrary signal that the country is getting on with life !

11 days to results which we know will be substantially ahead. March is a key month. I hope they push the boat out and make the H1 divi .15p as it has been stuck on .10p for the last few years.Sellers can get 58p now which is a nice rise but would be good to see this over 60p.

Well that answers the reason for recent share price activity. Solid strategy, and a good fit particularly when they can resite the franchise together with Jaguar.

Looks a good acquisition - interesting to compare the Vertu acquisition of 2 Land Rover dealerships also announced today.
